Has anyone tried Bandizip if it shows the right click context menu in Windows 11 properly for both the new right click context menu in Windows 11 or if a user chooses the classic right click context menu? WinRAR and 7-ZIP don't work well yet with Windows 11 and PeaZip has a bug that is yet to be fixed where if you extract an archive, it wouldn't show the contents until you manually refresh Explorer.exe by pressing F5 or right clicking and choosing refresh, I informed the developer about this but he has yet to release an update. Edit: PeaZip just got updates and the extracted files not showing until you manually refresh Explorer.exe is now fixed in v8.6 https://sourceforge.net/p/peazip/tickets/679/
As zip alternatives go, this does look like a pretty killer recommendation. Kind of a bummer it hasn't been updated since 15Sept2020. Although, I guess that shouldn't really be a deal breaker at this point for a zip app.
Al by the way, gave ExtractNow a spin and it's all extraction and no zipping whatsoever. My fastest uninstall to date unfortunately...
Ditto! T'was a happy camper with 7-zip for a while and moved on to Bandizip because of its far more appealing GUI. A lousy reason to ditch the irreproachable 7-zip perhaps, but 7-zip's GUI is a wee bit of a put-off in my insignificant and irrelevant opinion. Possible detractors out there aside, my experience with Bandizip is that it's an all around solid app. And then there's that obnoxious little nag screen that you have to click on to close each and every single time before you can even open Bandizip after launching from the desktop shortcut. Enough already! Got to digging around for an alternative several days ago and eventually landed on the freebie IZArc. It's apparently not an overly popular app based in the limited number of reviews I found unless you happen to take a gander at Softpedia. IZArc is a Softpedia editor's pick btw (yeh, I know... "so, what"... "no biggy"... cheerio). The app is both competent and competitive with its drag and drop option, offered encryption, the ability to check and repair archives, Virus Total check, a portable version option, a sleek and intuitive GUI, etc. Always open to and occasionally on the lookout for superior alternatives to any app, but for now IZArc definitely hits the sweet spot.

It might be a good idea for current users of this software to look here at the forum about data corruption in previous versions which seems irreversible.
