    Hi, @Tigzy,

Can you add support for the CoApp? (The Companion App needed by the Video Downloader for downloading HSL/DASH). I had version 1.xx, and today it required to be updated to the latest version to be able to download a video file. So I had to update it manually. But wasn't aware that an update is available until it was required. :)

    Thanks!

For what it is worth, Malwarebytes shows Version 5.1.1.106 and Latest 4.6.10.

    Hello,
I'm back with the question of column width...
So for "Installed" it's too big, and how to do explain that for "Portable" is wayyyyy too small ?
Can't you do something in between ?
FYI for "Portable" if you modify the width is stays, unlike "Installed"...

And by the way, the strange default sorting I have already posted 1 or 2 times was back this morning... (forgot to save a screenshot).

Does anybody know where Winamp official website is ? I found a forum, but the main site doesn't propose to download the player...

We do, but most of the time the main installer's version isn't reliable either, or the registry key doesn't point to the "good" binary. Sooooo... I think it's to the developers to keep their uninstall entry up-to-date, that's the easiest.

It's preferred to use the contact form for this: adlice.com/contact/

In the past we didn't take this kind of info, now it's OK to send them.
I didn't know about this forum post, will take a look and update.

Apparently MBAM 5 isn't entirely deployed yet, so we'll have to wait for general availability.

In theory it should save this setting when you change the column size. It's not the case for you ? I believe maybe you have deleted your registry entry for UCheck ?

I've verified, it's 5.4-BETA1. Make sure you don't have multiple with same name in your folder ?

Still says 5.2.0.0-BETA1 for me, running directly from download location. Will test again later.

    Hi @Tigzy :

I'm currently using Malwarebytes v4.6.12 (see the 04-Apr-2024 release note <here>). UCheck v5.3.1.0 still detects v4.6.10 (rel. 07-Mar-2024) as the latest version, even though the now outdated Malwarebytes v4.6.11 was released on 21-Mar-2024.

UCheck v5_3_1 Recommended Malwarbytes 4_6_10 Two Versions Behind 04 Apr 2024.png

This slow detection of available updates for Malwarebytes v4.x (a fully Compatible app) has been an ongoing problem since I started using UCheck in September 2023.

    EDIT:

I just tested the latest UCheck v5.4.0.0-BETA1 (announced in your 05-Apr-2024 post # 1405) and confirmed this BETA version still incorrectly reports that the latest version of Malwarebytes v4.x is v4.6.10.

    Hi Tigzy,

Yes, there is indeed only a forum available at this point:

    https://forums.winamp.com/forum/winamp/winamp-discussion/4615655-winamp-5-9-2-released

Also, it's unclear for how long it will be available:

    https://forums.winamp.com/forum/winamp/winamp-technical-support/4621650-important

The download link for the 5.9.2 is this one:

Yes, I understand that. It was just my 2 cents.

Ok, no problems. And no, I am not finding it here if this is what you are asking?

Thanks for the new version! :)

    Hi @Tigzy:

I'm using the latest UCheck v5.4.0.0-BETA1 (announced 05-Apr-2024 in post # 1405) on my Win 10 v22H2 machine and apps now classified as Winget apps (e.g., Belarc Advisor, Intel Driver & Support Assistant, etc.) on the Installed tab now have the word "winget" displayed as the Latest version instead of the version number.

I'm not certain, but I seem to recall that the first time I ran this BETA that the version numbers were correctly displayed in the Latest column.

Scan and debug logs are attached.

@Tigzy congrats on adding Winget support... since SUMo shut down I've been using UCheck and the equally excellent WingetUI to keep my system up to date.

Does UCheck just use Winget to find installed programs, or does it also determine if an update is available via Winget, and allow updating via Winget?

On one of my PC's WingetUI is showing an update for Edge WebView2 but UCheck is not showing it. On another PC, both are showing the update. Strange...

Also, I put in a feature request to be able to configure UCheck to use a specific version of Winget... to support preview versions, or the version that ships with WingetUI (which is the only way to get Winget on Windows Server, btw)
