    Hello @mantra,

    1) yes, you can click on "registry" to only clean the registry. It will select all options in PrivaZer related to the registry for you.
    2) PrivaZer needs those files to run. They are securely deleted once PrivaZer is closed.
    3) To delete entries in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Store
    it's here :
    upload_2024-3-31_18-0-47.png

    4) Cleaning of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Search\RecentApps
is on our roadmap with some other keys.
    We keep you posted.

    but
    could be done manually?

and there sub keys could be deleted?

If you scroll down, is PrivaZer still scanning in this directory ?
    C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\AppCache

Sorry but i ran clean internet traces and clocked up 603103 operations which represented thousands of screens. Said directory does crop up but cannot say specifically anywhere near the end. privazer appears to look in each of the many subdirectories at index.dat.
I did notice thousands of looks at Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer neither of which I use and did not know were active...perhaps I should try to uninstall?

    No need to uninstall.

    hi @The_PrivaZer_Team

    1)
may i know about the registry keys i have posted if are they safe to remove?
can i ask you why don't you add some profiles (with different settings) ?
would be nice to switch between them

    2) i'm reading the manual again
but is really safe to clean ?
    Traces in MFT
    Traces in USN Journal

I have lots lots of traces on MTF and lots USN Journal , but i can 't delete some of them , it does delete all of them, when i can open the window i can't select them
remove them will make windows faster ?

    3) but about options ,deleting on ssd or usb flash drivers there is always 1 pass , on clean up there is secure delection , i guess should set to normal detection + trim for even flash pen , cheep one

    thanks

    Hello @mantra,

    1) we still need to perform some tests but so far, it seems safe to delete them.
Your settings are saved in a privazer.ini files under %localappdata%\PrivaZer
You can save the file when you want to save your settings and copy-paste it back to %localappdata%\PrivaZer when the settings are needed.
Probably, we should offer a better way to switch between settings

    2) yes, safe. PrivaZer does it 100% safely, especially for unused entries in the MFT.
Cleaning MFT or USN will not make windows faster, but it will protect your privacy.

    3) For paranoiacs, I would recommend to use "secure deletion + TRIM" with 1 pass. Otherwise, "normal deletion + TRIM" when TRIM is activated.

    The key
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FeatureUsage

is already cleaned by PrivaZer :

    hi
would be nice to avoid PrivaZer temp files (i mean the files the portable does store in the temp folder don't know the installation version) , some antivirus could give some problems
thank you so much for the update

    Hi
i was talking about the 4.0.86 and not 4.0.85
4.0.85 works perfectly and for the portable i mean not the PortableApps version
    thanks

    Hi @Rules ,

PrivaZer is installed on my machines, so I don't use the portable version.

    Cheers.

    @privazer team

I have noticed that, over a period of time, my MFT and Pagefile have become fragmented on a disc with plenty of free space and which is regularly defragmented.
I am sure this is not a problem but at the same time cannot be beneficial for the system to be looking for fragments when needed.
Do you have a tool which could copy/rebuild these files contiguous?
    .
