    Hi guys,

Thanks for your replies. I really appreciate it. I really want to ditch Comodo firewall (no hips) / OSArmor free in lieu of Cyberlock but since I still am learning it I am hanging on a bit.

Any tips on the VS firewall that you may share?

    Thanks guys for your help!

It's not a firewall. It will create Windows Firewall rules for "unsafe" files in Whitelist Cloud if you enable that feature. Personally, I don't bother with it.

My main advice is to get familiar with all of VS's settings, but in the end you can just run it with default configuuration and you'll be fine.

Okay thanks for the info. I wanted to ask about that as I see that inbound/outbound FW there.

If there are existing firewall rule for a certain app, VS will just add its own, yes?

IMO I would keep Avast Free AV + Comodo firewall if you like that Combo and Cyberlock Pro. I use Cyberlock Pro Lifetime with Webroot SecureAnywhere with Glasswire Firewall all lifetime. I have MBAM Lifetime but On-Demand and Hitman Pro but I only run the free scans never needed to activate and all it finds is cookies.

I don't bother with it either.

Thanks for that Triple Helix..The combo is actually that now and still observing here. One thing that I obseeved when I turn on yhe Wondows Sandbox, my VirtualBox VMs dont function normally. Disabling the Windows Sandbox made it function normal now. I had to recover from a saved image file of my VMs becaus they got corrupted.

I find when I have Windows Sandbox and I use HDMI to the TV using Zoom I don't get the sound on the TV only sound from the Laptop and I have not found a work around at this point except removing Windows Sandbox.

On my Windows 10 Home I checked for an update, and it offers:

    CyberLock_GUI_update check_new version v7.70_01.JPG

Allowed a temp file via SpyShelter during the update:

    CyberLock_GUI_update check_new version v7.70_03.JPG

Hash has changed after the update to v7.70.

Question here, possibly inane but anyway: I downloaded a file I knew was "safe"--Crystal Disk Mark--but I ran a CL scan from the context menu in my downloads out of curiosity. The UI opened and it scanned and everything and once it finished, there was the "Install--acceptable" box in the lower right. I clicked it and nothing happened. I mean, I see where there is a timer that will block the installation in the upper right. But is there a "hidden" purpose to this Install box? I mean, yes, it doesn't proceed with the installation for you-- lol. But what does it do of itself? Does it "approve" the installation without further blocks?

Also it uses the "critical stop" and "low battery" sound from Windows' default sounds menu...interesting.

After scanning finishes Reset the Whitelist as it says 3679 and it takes more time to scan that many. WoW 1062 minutes... Was your laptop sleeping again?

Odd things seem to happen, but I did a reset as you suggested, and you can see the posted result. :);)

Interestingly, it detected one unsafe item, an old favorite of both of us, that had a recent update. ;) I will whitelist it, of course.

Yes and there are many unsigned Windows Files but I assume Dan whitelist them in his cloud. :thumb:

When I did that reset, earlier, it took a snapshot...

And, I just noticed this one item, i.e. "Security Posture". What does that mean? Never seen it, before...

Your file as a quick Google search! HP Laptop?

The HP System Event Utility is an essential component of HP computers that manages system events and ensures the proper functioning of hardware-related actions. It runs in the background, allowing your system to recognize and respond to button presses, hotkeys, and other hardware-related events.Jun 30, 2023

I don't understand the comparison to my query concerning the term used, "Security Posture"
