It was initially FLoC, but this was abandoned in favour of Topics API. Source.

currently not possible, there exist pages where is needed.
microsoft is such page, or spiegel(.)de, or telekom(.)de, or solvemedia as a 3rd-party captcha delivery.
all those need to use other methods that methods has succeeded.

But I wonder, if you have already disabled the usage of third party cookies, then this Topics stuff is now basically an even better tracking tool for Google and other parties right? I wonder how other Chromium clones are going to deal with this.

For some strange reason Chrome is absolute crap for me on YouTube. Videos take forever to load; pages become unresponsive; and you might as well forget it if you have to scroll through a long list of videos on someone's channel. I've tried everything but finally gave up and now use Edge or FreeTube for YouTube. Both of these work very well. I'm tempted to ditch Chrome altogether. Too many more problems and I probably will.

this is not limited to chrome these days, i seriously had some heavy issues with firefox today, preview while dragging ok, but the content did not follow, several times. dont know if it is a new year issue, because between the holidays i had no issues.
