Can ublock disable that annoying, "enable DRM?"
My Firefox settings does not allow DRM; therefore, I don't need to see that pop-up message.

    Sorry for the late reply...

To change the user agent for YouTube:

    • Go to `about:config`.
    • Paste `general.useragent.override.youtube.com` in the box (without the quotes).
    • Check `String`.
    • Click on `+`.
    • Enter this in the box:
    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/119.0.0.0 Safari/537.36
    • Click the check-mark.

    [Edit]
    Scrap the above instructions...
Apparently in Firefox you can't set site specific overrides any more.
    See this thread.

But I can't guarantee it will keep working, as others have seen the page load slowing on Chrome as well.

Doesn't uBO counter it for you?
If not, carefully follow the instructions here.

You could also test these filters:
    Code:
    www.youtube.com##+js(nano-stb, resolve(1), *, 0.001)
    www.youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.EXPERIMENT_FLAGS.ab_pl_man, false)
    www.youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.EXPERIMENT_FLAGS.web_enable_ab_rsp_cl, false)
    ||googlevideo.com/videoplayback$xhr,3p,method=get,domain=www.youtube.com

Does anyone know why Daily Mail detects that I'm using an ad blocker when using Chrome, but not with Firefox or Edge?
I'm getting a popup when using Chrome on Daily Mail telling me that I'm using an ad blocker.
I have exported and imported my Firefox uBlock Origin settings, but I still get the popup. I have also cleared the cache and Daily Mail cookies.

I haven't checked that specific case. But the general answer is: uBlock Origin works best on Firefox. It might be related to HTML filtering.

Maybe that's the answer. Just use Firefox.

firefox can get get "studies" or "normandy" for quick fixes. Chrome cannot. those fixes are common encountered as extensions but have impact on several not common changes. thats an really valuable benefit.

BTW, I figured out that I had to enable googletagmanager.com in order to make it work. But by now it's clear to me that uBlock on Vivaldi might act a bit differently. But I think I have found a good way to figure these things out. If I enable Vivaldi's adblocker, I can see exactly what trackers it's blocking, so one of them will be the culprit. It's an easier way than using uBlock's logger.

Wait - are you using Vivaldi's adblocker in conjunction with uBO? If so, it's not really surprising that you're having probems. E.g. googletagmanager is not blocked by uBO (not even by Dynamic Filtering) - rather, it's sanitized by a surrogate script. However, this can't work if googletagmanager is blocked by Vivaldi's adblocker. So don't use both!

And why it's easier to see in Vivialdi's blocker what is blocked compared to uBO's logger is beyond me. In the logger you can easily filter for, e.g., blocked items only - just move the cursor to the input field in the upper left corner. What is so problematic for you?

No, you misunderstood. I never use them together, so it's always uBlock that's doing the blocking. In certain cases when uBlock causes problems that I can't easily fix, I enable Vivaldi's built-in adblocker. But anyway, I have been able to reproduce the same problem on Waterfox, I had to enable googletagmanager.com and consentmanager.net in order to make embedded Twitter content load.

I'm sure you can imagine why I feel like this. uBlock's logger can be quite overwhelming. But with Vivaldi's adblocker you can easily see which trackers are blocked without all of the noise.

I'm sorry, I don't understand the rather sarcastic remarks.
I think Rasheed explained what he meant perfectly.

Just follow this thread and one day you will understand. Maybe I'm too sensitive for small talk.

    I follow this thread.
Still, I don't appreciate the sarcastic remarks.
Maybe I'm too sensitive even for WSF.
