    then open the browser tool window to analyse the network traffic whats blocked from ublock.
    or within ublock its logger. try the "eye" if it is a cosmetic filter.
    there is nothing we can do for you.

    If you are using an antimalware program, try temporarily disabling it to see if that helps. Maybe it's interfering with uBO. Otherwise the only other suggestion I have is to try another browser such as Firefox, portable if you don't want to install it, and use the same Filter lists in uBO addon and test YT again. This way you can see if it's a browser-related issue.

    EDIT

    one last option I can think of: Backup your Settings, Get rid of all the lists you have, including your My filters, and enable only the Default Filters as suggested from the Github page, purge all caches, and update. Try again.

    This
    7 obsolete filters were messing with YT... sigh
    Now YT is playing videos without that anti-adblocker crap.

    @Brummelchen @wat0114 @Stupendous Man @bjm_
    Thanks a lot for your kind help. I'm sorry for bugging you with this.

    Splendid! :thumb:
    How did you find the obsolete filters? By trial and error, disabling and re-enabling any YouTube-related filter in 'My filters', or otherwise?

    I can imagine it's annoying, as you'd like to use the latest version.
    But why is it so unacceptable? Is there a real problem with the previous version?

    It is unacceptable because Gorhill posted that UBO 1.53.4 has been installable since last Saturday:

    https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases/tag/1.53.4

    Instead still today,it is still not available.

    Well, I haven't gotten .4 yet either, neither for Firefox nor Brave. It's not in the Moz addons store either at the moment, but I'm not concerned right now.
    Not the case, but whatever. :rolleyes:

    Remember this? I'm disappointed, I thought Google had "forgotten" but obviously not. Haven't been following much of uBO Lite, is it still out there to use in Chrome? So in a nutshell, Google will be disabling MV2 extensions for its Chrome browser in "mid 2024." Maybe Brave will resist but something tells me they're mostly going to cave. Hope I'm wrong. Since I use a Dandelion Sprout list, I checked his GitHub site and the statement that he refuses to work on MV3 lists is no longer posted. Instead, he announces he is a paid freelancer for Adblock Plus Nice! :thumb:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/uBlockOrig...gle_confirms_they_will_disable_ublock_origin/

    My first source was in X--vx-underground but since not everyone has an acct. there I didn't give a link.

    Edit: Must have missed it the first time, many thanks, @bjm_ :thumb:

    plat, I was just reading the same info on Google's developer blog site. They say June 2024. Not so sure Mozilla/Firefox will be happy with this either, but it is a Chromium based browser (like Brave). Not too many choices out there for non-Chromium based browsers that people like a lot.

    As an aside (not related to Google), I was also reading today that some self-service checkout machines now run ads just after you finish running all your purchases through and before you pay - you can not pay until the ad finishes!

    No opt-out any more.

    There is an option to extend support with 1 additional year via a policy. :)
    https://chromeenterprise.google/policies/#ExtensionManifestV2Availability.
    Example of a Windows policy for Chrome/Chromium (.reg file):
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Chromium]
    "ExtensionManifestV2Availability"=dword:00000002

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome]
    "ExtensionManifestV2Availability"=dword:00000002

    Sure. :)
    Here's the reg file for when you have multiple browsers installed: :D
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\BraveSoftware\Brave]
    "ExtensionManifestV2Availability"=dword:00000002

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Chromium]
    "ExtensionManifestV2Availability"=dword:00000002

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome]
    "ExtensionManifestV2Availability"=dword:00000002

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge]
    "ExtensionManifestV2Availability"=dword:00000002

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Vivaldi]
    "ExtensionManifestV2Availability"=dword:00000002

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\YandexBrowser]

    so at least 1 year to be prepped for MV3. i suggest to create another profile for those who are willing to trial that stage now. i already can hear the rants and swearwords if the year is over. promised.
    either switching to Firefox or getting along with MV3. or as described or switch to another solution. for windows, its easy, if not in browser, as extensions, dont know. i hope uBo lite will improve a lot and adguard too. i have hope that @gorhill will make it :thumb:

    I'm experimenting with this cause I'm not a FF user. If you ask me I'm starting to like it. Currently fiddling with profiles creation and management.

    Firefox is my Everyday-Browser, no incidents that far. i can use edge for comparison. what i know that far that chromium uses a lot of google wannabe's code which is not w3c confirmed or compatible, own interpretations. google wants to, but its not w3c compatible where MS, mozilla and google participate. best example: youtube and its code or video codecs. also mv3 is a google own developent and decision. firefox will ofc support it, but thats all beside mv2. i dont care, why should i care? i can when mozilla decides to abandon mv2 but there exist no date and google is not "i rule the world" company, i give a fu** on it.

    its a user decision at all.
