Yes this would work as uBO filter to remove blank space.

you can suggest it for the easylist and mentioned before. i only use the easylist for DE (GER).
for some reason several pages have its own style in "stylus" extension here. thats why i try CSS first and then move it to uBo if it may be a general rule - otherwise it stays in stylus.

It's been almost 2 weeks now and the script to block YouTube videos is vanquished for that amt. of time. For once, uBO is ahead of the game. I cannot thank the volunteers for the Quick Fixes list enough, I tell you. Gradually, I've been able to add back some things like my own filters and EasyPrivacy without a problem.

Even if that block comes back (again!), I'll use Brave temporarily--never came up there. But I still prefer Firefox. Warts and all.

Usually Edge is the first browser to upgrade UBO to a new version.
Instead, in this case, Firefox came out first.
This new version of UBO introduces significant improvements.
Which need to be thoroughly tested by users.

At last Gorhill decided not to introduce differential updates in UBO 1.53.0.
In my case I do not consider this new feature (copied from AdGuard but I believe not yet implemented) important because I use few default filter lists.

for extensions technically not possible, for lists it may check the date and renewal first.

Actually, Brave is reliant on the uBO team to fix those YouTube anti-adblock popups. They use exactly the same rules. So, there is no advantage of using Brave for YouTube related issues at the moment.

OK, yes, I'm not disagreeing but my experiences are thusly: From the beginning of this YouTube thing I've been trying this and that because only Firefox was affected. FloorP also. Every time there's a lag between the banner and updated Quick Fixes, I open up Brave and it's good to go. Haven't really delved into the whys and wherefores but it works for me. In fact, I got the clue to get Brave from someone else who had the same issue. If one can avoid the YT problem without going nuts or installing useless extensions, more power. :ninja: Plus I got a nice secondary browser that works great. :)

I see. Sure, that's a very good alternative if you can browse YouTube peacefully with it. It's just that after seeing your comment tonight, I asked uBO, Adguard and Brave filter contributor Yuki2718 if Brave is doing anything special for YouTube anti-adblock and the answer I got was what I said in my previous comment. Brave uses whatever rules used in uBO at the moment, nothing more, nothing less (except their iOS version). So, I thought just in case I should let you and other users here know about it.

Awesome, thanks a lot, SeriousHoax. Also for consulting with Yuki2718 to get the confirmation. For the moment, it's not bugging me in either browser. Hopefully for everyone else also. :thumb:

I suspect that the reason for @plat's experience is that Brave gets the fixes first. After all FanboyNZ essentially works for them, the other maintainers I suppose being volunteers or something.

Using uBO version 1.53.0 and notice under Filter lists a different color
force update circle icon. Looks like light green color on these lists.

    Lists are:
    uBlock filters - Quick fixes
    uBlock filters - Unbreak
    EasyPrivacy
    Actually Legitimate URL Shortener Tool
    Online Malicious URL Blocklist
    ClearURLs for uBO

Is this part of support for differential update of filter lists?

The icons are green right after force updating, that's new, indeed. The icons turn gray again later.

Quick fixes needed updating (thank you! :thumb:) but I ain't got no 1.53.0 yet. Likely regional so it'll be here soon.

    Which browser, or browsers?
On Firefox, I got it by selecting Extensions\ Manage extensions\ Tools for all add-ons\ Check for Updates.

    uBO version 1.53.0 change:
    https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/commit/64c1f8767c

The _content of the My filters_ pane is now considered untrusted by
default, and only uBO's own lists are now trusted by default.

A new advanced setting has been added to control which lists are
considered trustworthy: `trustedListPrefixes`, which is a space-
    separated list of tokens.

I checked out the advanced settings and trustedListPrefixes ublock-

`ublock-`: trust only uBO lists, exclude everything else including
content of _My filters_ (default value)

I have 66 entries in My filters. What would be your recommendations?
NOTE: There are possible values that can be changed in advanced settings.

Warning! Change these advanced settings at your own risk.
