Have not seen it yet on Vivaldi with standard uBlock filters. I watched a lot of rap music videos on YouTube yesterday. Perhaps it's also based on location for now.

I have noticed that ads have become more annoying on my smart TV when watching movies on YouTube. With that I mean, you will now have to watch 1 minute of ads before the movie starts. What do you think will happen? I will eventually simply stop watching movies on YouTube. Are they guys retarded or what?

That's what needs to happen. The question is, do they care?

Well, this is not reddit situation, where people protested, but stayed. In order to stay on Youtube, people would have to pay and $7 per month is not cheap, so they could lose a lot of users, a lot of money. They are trying to see the results.

I thought they were charging more than that but I will pay them nothing, especially with the amount of censorship that goes on there.

Indeed, if this continues they will eventually block everyone, if there is anyone left and they can watch videos by themselves, lol. They have recently shadow banned Dr. Berg, it does not pay off going against the Big Brother. :ninja:

Embedded YouTube videos on another website aren't affected from what i've experienced. But directly accessing YT causes their new cancer to materialize.

It seems that not all YouTube users are created equal.

Yeah, that was ridiculous and was one of many things that would make me refuse to pay them. People need to move to other platforms.

youtube in parts ofc is questionable. but for me i consider to start a premium abo, but only for work. i loved to hear music for me and colleges without ads and device monitor not active. although its not cheap i ask my team leader to participate with hidden cash from our team.

Well, Pluralsight is 299$ annually. There are other options like SkillSoft or Udemy, but of course they have some drawbacks too

Now you mentioned it, the YouTube Blocker will be after you too now. :argh::argh:
Btw: uBlock Origin on Firefox is working great the last few days and did away with all the blocks. Now watch, I open my mouth and reported this and I'll probably get blocked again. :argh:

That's what I was getting for about a week, the "X". Then I got a warning after the third video it will be blocked with no "X" showing.

Same here. @Tarnak it's just a matter of time then you will get a warning YouTube will Block You.

FWIW i went ahead (because i'm interested in Christmas Department Store Displays) and ALLOWED YouTube and i can now watch any video again, but except you must sit through a few stupid commercial ads first.

I was getting blocked on YouTube using Firefox, but in the past 24 hours, I haven't had any problem.
Maybe uBlock Origin updated with a fix.
If you want to push the possible fix through quicker, click "Purge all caches", then "Update now".

Updating only uBlock filters Quick fixes may be sufficient, as nicolaasjan wrote:
