AdGuard for Android 4.0, Release date: June 13, 2023 https://adguard.com/en/versions/android/release.html#version-40912 ---------------- AdGuard v4.0 for Android: The ultimate update https://adguard.com/en/versions/android/release.html#version-40912
Stuff under the hood, no doubt, has been improved as my initial experience is network facing apps feel snappier. However, the UI is an abomination. Minimalism has trumped the at-a-glance concept. Wasted space rules. The App Management home screen has been scrubbed of detail. Individual app settings are no longer integrated in one screen, but scattered about by separate, featureless screens. Be prepared for a tap the H out of your device's screen learning curve. The Filtering Log is gone... UPDATE: Whoops. The Filtering Log is still available, but it's not the stupid home screen hamburger menu item it once was. Nope. Not happening. Here's how to get it; a public service for the Wilders community... 0) Open AdGuard. 1) Tap the gear. 2) Tap Filtering. 3) Tap Apps. 4) Tap App management. 5) Tap any network facing app. 6) Tap the kebab menu. (Hint: three dots.) 7) Tap App statistics. Tap Recent activity. 9) This is the activity for the app. 10) Clear the search field for the global activity. 11) Jump up and down and shout, "That was soooo intuitive!" BONUS: Immediately after you "upgrade" from v3 to v4, turn off "Global firewall rules." I'll let you have the fun of finding that.
Agree with everything you say.Its gui and menu is a disaster.Uninstalled after 30 minutes of hair pulling, and cursing, and gone back to last 3 version.Whoever thought this was a good idea needs their head examined...

AdGuard for Android 4.8, Release date: February 17, 2025 https://adguard.com/en/versions/android/release.html#version-4857
How do you prevent AdGuard for Android from disabling itself even time you close it's notifications? I do that all the time, using the "close all" button, which closes AG too and it's driving me crazy.
I've the same issue with previous 4.8, since i've upgraded to 4.9 no more adguard's disappearance when i close it's notifications. Do you still experienced issue with the latest? If the problem still occurs you can try to enable watchdog within the app general settings> advanced settings or (depends of your android version),check in battery settings if you've the option to manage background app and set adguard to always allow or no restrictions option in the android settings>application>adguard>battery
thats a matter of your device, not adguard. my samsung never stopped, my xiaomi did. check accu and app settings! if adguard crashes then let report submitted!
