How can there be many when Edge only makes one such folder and that has by default also only one file in it.
Microsoft Edge (Stable) Version 118.0.2088.46 Release date: October 13, 2023 Release notes for Microsoft Edge Stable Channel: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/d...le-channel#version-1180208846-october-13-2023 ----------- Download and configure Microsoft Edge for Business https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/business/download
New (privacy) issue? In edge://settings/siteData I see all sites I have recently visited. When removing them they are coming back. Not something I want Anybody else seeing the same behavior ?
I don't normally use Edge but when I check edge://settings/siteData there are four sites that appear. Deleting them then refrshes the page shows that they are removed at all, but they show 0 Bytes and 0 Cookies.
Also note that with this build the extended 'Find in Page' is now available by doing Ctrl+F. However.... While that sounds good on paper, Edge users need to be aware that Find on page's new functionality requires that data is processed on Microsoft servers. https://www.ghacks.net/2023/10/14/edge-118-updated-on-page-search-may-send-data-to-microsoft/
not here. sound like defective profile. edge://settings/siteData are cookies and website data (webstorage). could be a defective cookie file -> "Cookies", "Cookies-Journal" are you using any cleaner? if so - dont do it, never. in case of sandboxie its a sb settings issue.
What information is needed? I used Edge out of the box, so to speak, fresh profile at default settings and no addons/extensions. I just gave it a try because Edge is installed here, but I have never used it (and probably never will).
I have the solution to the problem. You need to perform a cleaning operation. See image: P.S. Cookies (and websites) displayed while browsing, will be deleted after closing the browser.
Doesn't work here. As soon as I relaunch Edge, at least one entry is back in the list of visited sites.
Some websites will not be deleted when the browser is closed and reopened. MT forum is one of them. Manual cleanup is needed from time to time. Also because disabling the option "Allow sites to save and read cookie data (recommended choice)" leads to malfunctioning of some websites.
"Rimouvi tutti" do same as this dialog. the dialog do a collection erasing. again: if this do not work the profile is defective. assumed that you dont have the MSN homepage or similar, more a blank page*. and no startup boost! * "Blank New Tab 1.1.0" and ofc to tell it again: use GPO as possible. current state here transposed to edge Code: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge] "AADWebSiteSSOUsingThisProfileEnabled"=dword:00000000 "AllowGamesMenu"=dword:00000000 "AllowSurfGame"=dword:00000000 "AlternateErrorPagesEnabled"=dword:00000000 "AudioCaptureAllowed"=dword:00000000 "AutoLaunchProtocolsComponentEnabled"=dword:00000000 "AutofillCreditCardEnabled"=dword:00000000 "BackgroundModeEnabled"=dword:00000000 "BingAdsSuppression"=dword:00000001 "BlockExternalExtensions"=dword:00000001 "BrowserCodeIntegritySetting"=dword:00000002 "BrowserNetworkTimeQueriesEnabled"=dword:00000000 "ConfigureDoNotTrack"=dword:00000001 "CryptoWalletEnabled"=dword:00000000 "DefaultBrowserSettingsCampaignEnabled"=dword:00000000 "EdgeCollectionsEnabled"=dword:00000000 "EdgeDiscoverEnabled"=dword:00000000 "EdgeFollowEnabled"=dword:00000000 "EdgeShoppingAssistantEnabled"=dword:00000000 "EdgeWalletCheckoutEnabled"=dword:00000000 "EdgeWorkspacesEnabled"=dword:00000000 "EfficiencyModeEnabled"=dword:00000000 "EnableMediaRouter"=dword:00000000 "ForceGoogleSafeSearch"=dword:00000000 "HubsSidebarEnabled"=dword:00000000 "LocalProvidersEnabled"=dword:00000000 "MathSolverEnabled"=dword:00000000 "MicrosoftEdgeInsiderPromotionEnabled"=dword:00000000 "MicrosoftEditorProofingEnabled"=dword:00000000 "NewPDFReaderEnabled"=dword:00000000 "NewTabPageContentEnabled"=dword:00000000 "NewTabPageLocation"="about:blank" "NewTabPagePrerenderEnabled"=dword:00000000 "PaymentMethodQueryEnabled"=dword:00000000 "PerformanceDetectorEnabled"=dword:00000000 "PersonalizationReportingEnabled"=dword:00000000 "PromotionalTabsEnabled"=dword:00000000 "SharedLinksEnabled"=dword:00000000 "ShowAcrobatSubscriptionButton"=dword:00000000 "ShowHomeButton"=dword:00000000 "ShowMicrosoftRewards"=dword:00000000 "ShowRecommendationsEnabled"=dword:00000000 "SleepingTabsEnabled"=dword:00000000 "SpotlightExperiencesAndRecommendationsEnabled"=dword:00000000 "StandaloneHubsSidebarEnabled"=dword:00000000 "StartupBoostEnabled"=dword:00000000 "TrackingPrevention"=dword:00000003 "TranslateEnabled"=dword:00000000 "UserFeedbackAllowed"=dword:00000000 "WebWidgetAllowed"=dword:00000000 "WebWidgetIsEnabledOnStartup"=dword:00000000 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\ExtensionInstallBlocklist] "1"="ghbmnnjooekpmoecnnnilnnbdlolhkhi" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\EdgeUpdate] "CreateDesktopShortcutDefault"=dword:00000000 "CreateDesktopShortcut{56EB18F8-B008-4CBD-B6D2-8C97FE7E9062}"=dword:00000000

The latest Edge update on Windows 10 non-insider version with a local account only included Copilot in a sidebar with all the privacy-intrusive features preselected. I didn't enjoy having to unselect each one at a time.
It seems like every Edge update you have to check everything in case they have turned a setting back on or added a new one.
