For the SBIE2326 Cannot prepare registry error, adding the following setting under [GlobalSettings] and reloading the configuration solved(?) the issue for me.

Ah thanks @busy, you are quite correct. I had to reinstall 1.11.4 completely and it seems some of the settings have been lost. I find it odd if "Show recoverable files as notifications" is not the default - I certainly would not have disabled it anyway.

It's also odd, to me , that "Show recoverable files as notifications" dialogue has the explore option when the file recovery dialogue does not.

I have uploaded a 1.11.4b update with the new templates ini so the fix should be distributed to all users with the right update options

..and "no". That's a bit strange. In spite of a valid certificate and the same settings as depicted above I seemingly never get to see those interim-updates (versions X.XX.Xb,c,d)

Ok guys, this is strange. Updates-section within Sandman "Global Settings" tells me I'm still on v.1.11.4a and won't offer any intermediary updates.

When actively calling the updater - as @busy has suggested - I'll get "No update found !!!" on the "Preview-channel" while a new "templates.ini" gets downloaded when again actively calling the updater - only this time around on the "Stable channel".

Needless to say that it defies logic when the "Stable channel" would get any infos, updates. etc. exclusively and before the "Preview-channel" which is explicitly meant to provide the "early adopters" with all the latest improvements - and hence also necessary hot-fixes thereof - in advance.

Addendum:
Since the most frequent setting to check for updates in the Sandman "Global Settings" updates-section comes down to "daily" it would perhaps be a good idea to add a button there which would allow to "check now" triggering the update-check right away from the GUI and on demand instead of having to call the updater manually from the command-line.

when automatic update is enabled its always checked when the page is loaded to display the latest informations
when automatic update is NOT enabled there is a "check now" link displayed at the right in the line with the automatic check checkbox

 

Now it seems to work. Getting an indication of v.1.11.4b for the first time, too. Although I'm not sure if anything new has gotten installed except that updated "templates.ini" which already downloaded yesterday (only upon actively calling the updater on the "stable-channel", amazingly enough, while still indicating 1.11.4a, via the command-line).

Are you saying that with automatic update enabled the mere opening of that updater-settings-page within "Global Settings" will trigger an immediate "check now"-process?

 

I can confirm that upon clicking on the 1.11.4b-indicator within the "Global Settings"-update-settings-page I'm only taken back to the conventional Github-official-release-page which then only offers to download the conventional 1.11.4-release from last week again, no mention of "hotfixes" a, b or c there.

that the link takes you to the latest github release is normal and there not being a,b,c listed is also normal.
What should work but is broken is that the updater does not work correctly, that will be fixed in the next build.
