no. looks clean. but there is no explanation how it search. everything uses the ntfs journal https://www.voidtools.com/faq/#how_long_will_it_take_to_index_my_files older Locate32 is creating an index by task which makes it fast, but not realtime. ok, its from the maker of jv16 tools, so the forum is hosted from/for Macecraft software in general https://jv16powertools.com/discuss/public/ https://jv16powertools.com/about (same portrait) german language is breaking the default layout, too small and moved in parts (half visible, need restart) - and its a 1:1 translation which reads awful. another small issue - i use 2 monitors, it opens with no settings (WinFindr.dat) in the middle, one half left, other half right monitor. searching AIO is nice to have, but for me i will stay on my used tools. searching the registry - registry-finder, although bigger, does an excellent job, the results are richer than winfindr. btw winfindr has been packed with upx, its original size is 7megs.
Wow nice find, will check it out. I was looking for a replacement for UltraSearch since I find it to be a bit choppy on Win 10, on Win 8.1 it was faster. And it doesn't always sort files by type, it's a bug. Cool that they even made a comparison between the various desktop search tools.
I tried it with the help of Sandboxie. But I was very disappointed. It wouldn't remember screensize and it didn't give me immediate results. So I will stick with UltraSearch which actually delivers what it promises.
I can't see trading Everything for this. I also don't know that I want a search tool touching my registry. I'd rather use a specialized tool for that.
