Amazon Prime Video TV shows and movies will include ads soon, unless you pay an extra fee

    We already pay an extra fee. It's called $139 a year for Amazon Prime. It sure wasn't that much before they added all of these other partial services to it I never asked for.

    I also use Adguard DNS in my router. Blocks almost everything on all devices

    I don't see a problem with this. It will probably be like Freevee (owned by Amazon), the ads aren't that annoying. And if you don't want to see ads, pay a little bit more, makes sense.

    BTW, I now realize that in other countries like the US, Prime Video is a bit more expensive. Over here in Holland it only costs €3, but I can understand that people living in the US are not amused.

    On the other hand, Prime Video offers way more content in the US. Strangely enough I can see about 5% of the US content via VPN, they block all the rest, very frustrating.

    But the latest news is that Prime Video won't come with an ad supported plan in Holland. Netflix and Disney+ will soon come with a cheaper ad supported plan over here.
