    @Tigzy and @Kyle_Katarn Thank you so much for making UCheck better and better. UCheck is far from perfect now, but I'm sure it will soon improve, so it is definitely here to stay.:thumb:

    @Tigzy

    I haven't done that before. I exported it in text format. Hope that is what you want.

    Here is what the update page shows. I downloaded the update, but I still can't find it. Where should I look for it?

    Kinda of sad, SUMo detected "HiBit Uninstaller", Process Lasso (64 bits), and Steam updates Ucheck didn't find.
    But ucheck found Foxit Reader, that SUMo missed.

    UCheck really is a promising alternative for SUIMo

    That's definitively the kind of cases where the "crowd based" approach of SUMo allowed to gain in detectability.

    :thumb: To give some idea of the extent SUMo assists with portable updates, UCheck shows 77 installed programs, but SUMo 665 products loaded.

    The portable version is not really portable, because it does not leave a zero-footprint and drops its remains in the OS. Please make it truly portable. Unless absolutely necessary, I don't use third-party apps that need to be installed unless a good portable version is also offered. Also, since this app is not IMO ready for prime time, why not make the premium free too until it's ready. That way you will have more Beta testers

    As we now knew that Kyle will definetaly stop with SUMo (What a pitty) we should try to get a good successor.
    As far as I understood until know UCheck should do the job :shifty:

    So @ all people from UCheck:

    How can we as users of SUMo help you to make UCheck almost as good as SUmo was?

    E.g. if a program is not supported/recognized by UCheck, can I as a user give you some information so that it will be detected in the future?

    UCheck flagged AdwCleaner again as outdated this morning. As mentioned in my previous post, AdwCleaner has not been updated for about one year, so v8.4(.0) is the current version.

    ************************* Updates *************************
    AdwCleaner (32-bit), version 8.4
    [+] Available Version : 8.4.0
    [+] Size : 8,38 MB
    [+] Wow6432 : Yes
    [+] Portable : Yes
    [+] update_location : C:\DOWNLOADS\adwcleaner_8.4.0.exe

    Well, i say the same as others, see to it that UCheck can discover portable software on the system and then this will be interesting. And also a feature to add programs manually that actually works for EVERYTHING. And, it does not have to download anything, just find the programs installed on the system and find potential updates.

    Manage that, and i will translate the programs versions to Swedish for free just to support it.

    7 years and can't handle portable apps? That's why I said not ready for prime time.

    Just tried UCheck (portable) for the first time.

    It finds 3 "updates" (and all of those are not found by SUMo):
    • SumatraPDF 3.3.3 -> 3.4.6 at C:\Program Files\SumatraPDF, but the actual file at that location is verion 3.5.0.0
    • TeraCopy version 3.2 at z:\tc, but I don't use TeraCopy (have never installed it) and that folder does not even exist
    • 7-Zip 18.01 at an unknow location, but I have version 23.1.0.0 installed at C:\Program Files\7-Zip
    And it did not find the one real update, as discovered by SUMo:
    • Spotify 1.2.19.941 -> 1.2.20.1216
    So my first impression is rather bad. If the author was not active on this forum I would have ditched the App, but I will follow this topic, hoping things will improve.

    Come on, don't be mean. Portable was never meant to be a major feature for us until last week.
    It doesn't mean the software isn't "ready for prime time" (whatever this means) nor that we should give the Premium for free.

    Hi, looks like you have orphan entries in your programs list. That's stunning that Sumatra reports 2 different versions...

    @Tigzy

    I'm still having problems with Zoom (see reply #79).

    Today I was notified by SUM0 that there was an update for Zoom to version 5.16.0.22201. Which I did from within the Zoom product itself.

    Now Ucheck is telling me there is an update available from 5.16.0 (22201) to 5.16.22201. These are the same version. Not sure why Ucheck is telling me an update is available.

    Hi Bill, yes this is expected as we didn't have time to fix this.
