Just updated my 11 drive--in addition to KB 5030305 cumulative, I got an update stack package and and Online Experience Pack--Windows Settings Account--which I had to look up to find out what it is. It's this, it seems. New winver for my 11 Insiders beta drive: 22631.2338.

Does anyone in any Windows 11 edition notice that disk space is shrinking by more than what's deleted in cleanup after updates? I'm missing more than 10 GB now and can't find it anywhere w/WinDirStat, unless it's in some obscure Windows folder that can't be accessed.

System Restore is off. Extra driver copies have been deleted. LCU folder in servicing is long gone. System files have blown up by 8 GB. Where is it? :doubt:

My windows 11 VM on the Canary channel has gone from 8 GB several months ago to about 25 now.

Whoa. See? Somewhere that bloat is growing and no one can get their hands on it thru tried and true means.Hmmm. I'm gonna start looking around online and see what some have to say about it.

    OK, thanks for verifying. :)

Same here on Win 10, more than 10GB is lost somewhere.

I also have been wondering about this ... on two Win 10 installations. And I don't have much space to manoeuvre ...

I hope the next update will give us back the stolen space.

Just installed the latest update on this same VM. It went up to 35.2 GB of used space. After a disk cleanup with all options checked it is still 27.1 GB. As this is a VM for software testing purposes nothing is kept in the base image except Windows itself and a copy of LibreOffice. I don't suspect the latter to be the problem.

OK, yes, thanks for confirmation. The saga of the missing chunk of disk space continues. :cautious:

Installed Cumulative preview KB303033 for Win 10.
    Installed .Net update.
    Now on build 19045.3516

After required reboot to desktop there was a Windows popup saying that a search bar had been put in my taskbar and did I want to keep it?
    I declined:)

    Confirmed.
In addition I noticed that in the taskbar the transparency had disappeared (also the "welcome screen" was not "obfuscated")
I shut down and restarted the PC and everything turned back to normal.

Back after the reboot...but a little slow posting [here] in this forum because of popups from another software advising of an update.

P.S. I have two laptops, so I haven't started the update process on the other, yet.

I've been seeing that on Windows 10 machines today. I guess they don't understand that we disabled it intentionally the first time.
