    Thanks for the heads up. They boast that it is much better/effective than the big three (HiBit, Revo and IOBit) which is a really bold claim. So I'd be interested to know what the reality is and am curious to get feedback from real use. Unfortunately I'm not a tester so please share your findings.

    USA still the best. But barely.
    jv16 was my only tool back in 98SE days. I've long abandoned it. Not since XP I think.

    Ran it and no issues for me. The startup clean up script ran ok. The program found 2 leftover entries from programs that I had previously uninstalled.

    I installed PDFGear just as a test then used Uninstalr to remove it. It only missed these so not bad at all.

    Tried to install it in Sandboxie, but it took quite a long time to scan my PC for installed apps, so I dumped it, I'm not impressed.

    The scan time depends on the number of installed apps. Uninstalr will show you the data of the installed apps it will remove.

    Tried the latest version. It's a nice interface but takes 7 seconds on here to scan the system and then present you with whatever to uninstall. HiBit on the other hand is instantly ready.

    I looked at some "leftovers" pertaining to AdxCleaner thinking these were remnants from a prev. installation. Turns out it was set to delete ALL the Adw. folders. Also, it's saying there's over 7.5 GB of installed apps to delete where HiBit says 4.5 GB :cautious: Yet the Unistallr list had fewer entries than HiBitt's.

    Sticking w/HiBit for now but my mind's always open. :)

    @khanyash,
    Outstanding at founding left over. also, very good at cleaning up of the leftovers.
    Will keep with HiBit as a combination. Again,Thank you! Nice!

    I don't know if it was perhaps caused by Sandboxie, perhaps I should try again. But I do know that for example Geek Uninstaller is pretty fast.

    Th author explained in the Malwaretips thread the Uninstalr does not simply read the list of installed software from the registry as most other software does. It scans normal installation folders for software not listed.

    OK I see, but I don't really need such a tool. Geek Uninstaller is fast and works just fine, eventhough it probably doesn't list every installed app on my system. I can't stand these kind of slow tools, same with system cleaners.

    Uninstalr 2.8 released. Uninstalr is a freeware Windows software uninstaller that supports uninstalling software in batch and it has one of the best support for silent (unattended) uninstallation.

    Key changes in this version are:
    1. New feature: Users can now choose to skip some analysis types, for example portable apps.
    2. New feature: Uninstalr will now generate a log file after any uninstallation operation.
    3. Greatly improved the speed and accuracy of detecting installed software. On average, the program now works 23% faster.
    The full changelog is here:

    https://uninstalr.com/changelog/

    Uninstalr comes in two different but equally delicious flavors: Portable and Setup. The Portable version is a single executable file you can run and then delete when you are done, or run it from a USB device and carry it with you.

    The software is very lightweight of only about 6 MB in size and comes with 29 builtin languages, it supports Dark Mode and has a wide array of options to allow you to run it the way you want.

    For screenshots, more information and the download, please see:

    I’m the developer of Uninstalr. Feel free to ask me anything or let me know if there are any features that you would like to see added.

    @jv16 -

    Just a quick note of thanks. Uninstalr is my new go-to uninstaller s/w app. Had been a long-time user of another s/w application, but Uninstalr is a more complete, lighter, and feature-rich application. Very happy convert.
