I was wondering about the delay as well. I also tried the exclusion in Defender with no difference. It's never happened on any previous version. I'm very interested to see what you find.

 

There is setting for start delays for in-depth and clean internet traces but after some recent update the Recycle bin's Empty without a trace and Delete without a trace for files and folders started showing 5 second delay and I cannot find setting for those
So where is delay and other options for those features?

The 5s delay new in v4.0.71.
It aims at preventing some users to delete files/folders by mistake.
They now have time to cancel.

Option to disable it will come in the next release.

Privazer should be used with Jetico Volume Encryption sofware. It's kind of a middle finger to all national security agencies out there.

The 5 seconds countdown is used only if "start automativcally" is set.
Click on "Start automatically", you will see the 5 seconds tick box

@The_PrivaZer_Team - I have a question: When will PrivaZer see an UI revamp? There are UI deficiencies and/or irregularities in the software.

There was some mention a long time ago about doing tabs for PrivaZer. The cleaning itself is perfect; just that I feel it's time for a serious UI revamp.

Thanks for all that you do. Would appreciate an update about all this UI stuff, though. Thanks again.

UI revamp is needed for sure !
If you run 2 cleanups, you will see a unique cleanup window with 2 tabs instead of 2 cleanup windows.

But we still have to transform PrivaZer into a full single window app (with tabs)

 

Response: PrivaZer as a full single window application would be ideal, yes. Any idea on when this will become a reality? Also - before you reply here, please keep in mind it's been a long time since an UI revamp has been mentioned. Would be nice to have a concrete timeframe as to when to expect this to happen instead of saying, "it's on the roadmap." (And yes, I'm calling you out a bit here.) If this revamp is not going to happen anytime soon, at least clean up the UI a little and fix the issue of the taskbar and system tray icons' behavior (they don't behave like how normal Windows applications do when minimized and so on - this needs to be fixed). Thanks so much.
