    Thanks very much, summerheat.
I tried that already, but with JavaScript not disabled, there was too much going on for me to understand.
That is why I wonder where to start, to analyze mentioned behavior.
For now, I think it may be just too complicated for me.

    Could you try:
    Code:
    ||9to5linux.com/wp-content/defer.js$script
    ?

    Content of script is:
    Code:
    window.scroll(0, 300);

Thanks very much, nicolaasjan, that works very well. :thumb:
If it's not too much trouble, can you explicate how you found that filter rule?

Well, by default I block all third party scripts (with uMatrix).
Then in the logger, I noticed that above first party script was at the top (loaded last).
Crafted the rule and voilà. :)

Guys, does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying pop up that you get to see on JustWatch? I can remove it with the element picker, but then it will still try to pop up and the screen blacks out.

Haven't you enabled an anti-annoyances filterlist?

I stumbled upon this site https://filterlists.com and am wondering which filters I should subscribe to in order to further improve the uBlock effectiveness. Any tips except language specific?

    Which browser?
What do you mean by effectiveness?

    Opera.
Nothing specific. I meant which filters from the list should generally improve ad filtering coupled with uBlock's filters.

It is probably more advantageous with Opera to block trackers.
It requires a configuration of filter lists that is superior to what can be used with Firefox and Edge.

What is your dynamic filtering mode used?

    P.S.

Do you use a DNS that blocks ads + trackers in network filtering?

    OK.
So Anti-Trackers filter lists are essential.

What filter lists do you use?

If you enter them I and other forum members can give you advice.

Anti tracker--I still use the Trace ext. even though it's been abandoned for a while now. I use Peter Lowe's list and AdGuard CNAME list (53/57). This has done exceptionally well for several years now. I use Yahoo website for testing as well as the content. That's where Peter Lowe's list shines the most--by blocking links that lead to tracking servers.

i dont use any list of that site. in case they are listed its by accident. i only use lists which have mentioned here, mostly by Sampei, or found elsewhere (countable).

the problem is to find a list from tons of entries which is small and maintained. ublock contains a lot of adguard lists here, 3 of 10 (do not include ublock lists)

Whatever works for you. It's not one size fits all when it comes to uBO. Firefox isn't a "performance" browser like Chrome, in fact it's not even close, but at least the ext. I have don't slow it down and it runs smoothly and annoyance-free. That's what matters to me.

Note that @gorhill advises against adding to much other lists. It can and will cause conflicts.
    Stock lists cover already 99.9%.

Also, built-in browser anti tracking, as well as blocking third party scripts and cookies helps a lot. :)

I personally think that 269,065 network filters +221,982 cosmetic filters are excessive.
But I guess my opinion is not shared by all forum members.

in one of my latests posts i wrote about 140k+114k entries. latest reduction was to disable the steven black list with 170k. and one the tests Sampei linked uBlock got a similar high result as my used list.
