It looks like the Firefox bookmarks finally have their original behaviour back with FF 113.

Very interesting improvements introduced in Firefox 113.
The browser is very fast and responsive especially with the changes I made with FastFox.
I am seriously considering replacing it with Edge as my default browser.

Firefox 113 does not yet appear to support WEBGPU.
Even if I change the specific setting to "true":

    Test:

    https://browserleaks.com/webgpu

In Edge,WEBGPU is supported and active.

    Hello @Sampei Nihira

If the above browser leak WebGPU Internet test is a valid one (very likely) I agree and the same test appears to pass with the Chrome 113.0.5672.92 release. As Apple's Safari 16.4 (18615.1.26.110.1) is based on Firefox, it too fails to pass the above WebGPU test.

I wish the Mozilla Firefox teams the best to make WebGPU work soon. Yet, I believe the Windows® (not macOS®) users of Firefox are still also patiently waiting for the High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology that Chrome-based browsers have enjoyed for many months.

    Thank you.

Updated to 113.0.1 on Mac / Catalina. Slow loading most websites. I'll wait for next release to see if loading improves. Back to Safari.

Not slow at all here on Linux, actually damn fast. It could be a problem with your profile, so creating a new one with firefox -p and test it could make a difference. Aside from that trying the settings here can make Firefox a lot faster!

webgpu is enabled by default since v114 beta and working.

That doesn't mean that chosing more aggressive setings can't improve performance. I did notice a perceptible difference.

difference where and which setting? and what is about your used hardware?

fastfox.js only has few active settings where some of them are same as default.
some settings are seriously guessing and off to reality.
in special those max connection settings - if server/proxy do not allow same firefox has no benefit.
same for the initial painting, it only set the timeout when firefox starts rendering, this has absolute no impact about the delivered data.
some settings are only supported on a current system, eg
    browser.cache.memory.max_entry_size
only win10 or later. some only with win11.
most values are set in kilobytes
some values are set dynamically, depending on hardware.

I found out the problem was with Malwarebytes Browser Guard. Uninstalled and reinstalled Malwarebytes Browser Guard and everything is working fine now. :)

How can I block the Google consent?

In Edge just enter 2 rules in the cookies (block):

    Code:
    [*.]google.it

    [*.]google.com
But with Firefox it is not enough.
