I have designed a website with Expression Web 4 and uploaded it to 1sthostweb.com. They asked me if Expression Web 4 includes server-side functionality written in Node.js so that they can install the Node.js module on their server. They also asked if there were additional dependencies that need to be installed on their server. They asked if I could contact the developer for this information. I don't know the answer and since Expression Web 4 is no longer supported I don't know how to find out these answers. I am hoping that someone has the answers I need. Or, who I may contact to find out what is needed for 1sthostweb.com to be able to host my website? As always I will appreciate all replies and would thank you in advance.

I doubt it's still supported considering that the final was published in December of 2012. I highly recommend using something more recent, as Expression Web will not be suited for modern website design.

Such as? When I was employed I had access to current software at work; now that I am retired I no longer have that luxury. Unfortunately, the software that is available to me is now is old or obsolete even though it works fine for my use. So any programs you suggest should be free or inexpensive. Thanks for replying.

Most people are using online services these days such as Wix or Squarespace, or using WordPress. I haven't got any specific recommendations as it's a number years since I compared quite a lot of different online website builders.

WordPress is free and some of the online services are free too.

WordPress is free and easy but is riddled with security issues. If you aren't handling people's personal data or processing payments it should be fine.
