    @mantra,
Have you tried if adding that filter rule in uBlock Origin 'My filters' makes any difference?
    www.youtube.com##.ytp-ce-element

And if you hadn't already, have you tried if adding a filter list for your specific region / language, under 'Regions, languages', in 'Filter lists', makes any difference?

If both don't help, it may be a difference between uBlock Origin on Firefox and on the browser that you use.
Or perhaps I don't use YouTube often enough to have noticed or to remember the YouTube annoyances that you mention.

There is some good news, perhaps you read about it, already:
Starting on April 6th, the 'overlay ads' will no longer appear on YouTube, according to this post:
Optimizing ad formats - overlay ads are going away in April

    Hi mantra,
I also use YouTube without login.
Perhaps the different experience is because of the different browser, or as I said, perhaps I don't use YouTube often enough to have noticed or to remember the YouTube annoyances that you mentioned.

You might get better results using Invidious for YouTube videos: https://docs.invidious.io/instances/
At the simplest, try replacing "youtube.com" with "yewtu.be"

    I get a score of 12%...
121 not blocked, which is false, because uBO (1.47.5b6) shows 121 redirected to noop.txt in the logger. :D

So I advise the dev of that site to fix it, or just pull the plug out of it.

    Open an issue:

    https://github.com/d3ward/toolz/issues

Given the dearth of other reliable test adblockers I think it's best to try to make the one least worst reliable.

I decided to once again enable Fanboy's Annoyance and AdGuard Annoyances since I might have falsely accused them of causing certain websites not to work. However, I still get to see pop ups on certain sites like thestreet.com, see link. But this was only with AdGuard enabled, so I decided to also use Fanboy.

Thanks, this just might do the trick.

uBlock Origin also offers 'uBlock filters - Annoyances', 'Filters optimized for uBlock Origin, to be used with Fanboy's and/or Adguard's Annoyances list(s)'.
I use Fanboy’s Annoyance plus uBlock filters Annoyances.

Good point, I didn't even notice that. But for now I will stick with these filters, because the more you enable, the bigger the chance you will run into problems. But so far, so good.

There is already a similar issue, though not as "bad".
Strange thing is, that in Chromium I get a 100% score.

    Relevant Reddit thread.

I just noticed that I didn't get to see any pop up on this site when Fanboy's and AdGuard Annoyances were enabled, but I did get it on another machine where I had them disabled, so these filters really help. :thumb:

Sorry, my bad for not mentioning the browser. I use Opera exclusively, always in the latest build with uBlock Origin extension.

Open the uBO logger where you can exactly see what's blocked and create appropriate exception filters.

Yes, I tried to do that but to no avail. Hence I wrote ... what rule prevents ...
The funny thing is that when I excluded the entire domain from uBlock filtering, reloaded the webpage and then enabled uBlock back, suddenly the videos are playable.
