Hello @Rasheed187: Perhaps in the interest of time, Dr. Howard Oakley (The Eclectic Light Company) quickly wrote a standalone utility app that helps meet the above need and will sift through the new XProtect Remediator scan logs and distill the results. The free utility isn't yet as slick as some would wish, but the scan results are there for your perusal. If anyone has used his other many apps (SilentKnight, LockRattler, etc.). Little doubt future versions will be more eye pleasing. Yes, it doesn't look too userfriendly, but it's better than nothing. Hopefully Apple will improve XProtect.
They don't want anyone to realize there is macOS malware. If I had a dollar for everyone I have talked to that bought a Mac because they thought it was a PC that couldn't get infected, I'd have some dollars.
Yes, it's probably about avoiding bad publicity. But of course Aple will say they simply don't want to ruin the user experience LOL.
