I've played a couple of vids and it really depends on the video quality. Low resolution vids are better to watch without Lucid Mode at least for my eyes. However YT vids for example are really sharper and provide a better watching experience.

I don't get it, isn't this tech supposed to improve low quality video? But it sure sounds interesting.

I thought so but it turned out differently. Low resolution vids seem blurry and less sharp. The lucid mode sharpens them which highlights low resolution and picture gets diced instead of blurry and that bothers my eyes.

OK I see, quite weird. I wish they would implement such a feature on YouTube though, I sometimes try to watch old movies on my smart TV, but they have a low quality, so it's no fun watching them. That's why I have never been a fan of digital TV, because on old CRT TV's it didn't matter whether content was SD or HD quality, it all look quite sharp.
