Don't know if it's been for a while or not. But latest version of EEK doesn't support W7.

 

If you leave EEKit at 2021.9.0.11172 on W7/8 you can still get definition updates. Need to see if they turn that off too.

 

That's what I'm doing.

 

I can confirm that EEK 2021.9.0.11172 is updating definitions for Windows 7. For the time being, anyway.

Ran a scan and it finished without complications.
