How Google Alerted Californians to an Earthquake Before It Hit

    I lived there for many years several years ago and it was always said that there would be no way to forecast such a thing. Not much info in that link. I'd like to know more about it. I guess that is what google is for though.

    It says they can’t forecast it. They are detecting minor waves that precede potentially dangerous waves.

    So they're notifying of foreshocks immediately so you can brace for it then? I could see that.

    It's not a free article and I didn't see much of it.
