Doesn't Apple feel any shame? Does such a rich company need to bother their users with stupid ads?

Search ads could arrive in Apple Maps as early as next year
The company is said to have already allocated resources to the project.

Finally, we agree on something lol. I'm pretty sure Apple wouldn't know what shame was even if it jumped up and bit them.

The new App Store ads are rather bad.

I find it hard to believe that Apple is willing to risk its brand value for a “few” dollars…

No, unfortunately, anything that boosts their revenue, which is all that matters, is welcome in Cupertino.

Yes, because Apple has learned from past years that its broad user base is extremely loyal. We can be sure that Apple will serve and explain the need for additional advertising in a such manner that users will accept. Perhaps people will complain but won't be willing to abandon Apple devices.

Apple pauses App Store gambling ads after developer outcry
It’s unclear if it’ll actually address the the issue, or just wait for the smoke to blow over.

I'm not actually using any of Apple's products so I don't know how annoying this stuff will be in practice. But yes, it's all about the money, as if they weren't rich enough. See link for more info.
