    Oh, I see. It's not "PC." Get it? PC? Hookay, never mind. :(

    I can't think of anything that would rival it though. Only ones I can think of sound so generic and nondescript. Hopefully Dan isn't THAT bored yet so he can extend the lifespan of the name of his software.

    :D Yeah, I was never good at names. Sometimes the name sells more than the product itself. I remember the first time I saw SUPERAntiSpyware. Between that and the logo I thought it was malware in disguise.

    I just have to say that VS 7.35 is smooth running & feather light. Dan is a flaming genius.

    I recall that some users set VS to Always On. Can anyone tell me why that is a good option, & when to use it? (I have mine set to Smart.)

    Thanks @Gandalf_The_Grey for the updated notice and that offer is pretty enticing wouldn't you say?

    Yes, it is a great offer.
    What do you think of the new name VoodooShield CyberLock ?

    Dan is pretty magnificent i would say. Satisfied long time users seemed cautious if not wary of the idea of a name change. But keeping the main program name (easier identifiable) and by tacking on cyberlock kind of fits. Plus it won't seem distant to user's who prefer to settle on a fixed identity tag (product name) for the security program. Best of both world's you might say and everyone is happy

    Um. Well if Dan likes it, that's what counts. It's certainly more descriptive--to someone who doesn't know, "VoodooShield" could be anything--deoderant, a crystal ball, a mood ring.

    CyberLock does narrow things down to computer-related, that's true. .

    Lifetime offer is not so good of a deal for someone as ancient as I am.

    BTW, @Gandalf_The_Grey -- I really appreciate your keeping us updated with Dan's message & VS's version changes.

    Your too much @bellgamin :p Your not on an island, oops, well you are after all. Let's put it this way, you are not alone.
    Even the ancients can rest knowing their subscriptions will outlast everyone else too :isay: Maybe?

    I sent VS support a Sales question re their on-going sale. I asked about a 2-year license (as an example). I asked:
    1- Does the 2 years start running immediately after purchase?
    OR
    2- Does the 2 years start running on the day that the license is activated & put into use?

    I'm hoping the answer is YES to #2 -- because I have a license that's good for several more months. However, it's probably YES to #1 and NO to #2. We shall see.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    @EASTER -- A lifetime license *probably* isn't practical for me, but even a 10 year old child, in the peak of health, is only 1 heartbeat away from eternity, right?
    Question: would you put VS on a non-expert Windows user's PC (with their permission, of course)? I'm wondering if this is something I can recommend to the less computer-savvy members of my family.
    I would say that it should be okay because VS offers suggestions on what you should do. Not every app does.
    I would test it first with VS in AutoPilot mode and WhitelistCloud off.
    That is the configuration with the least amount of pop-ups.
    @Gandalf_The_Grey has the right idea. That's what I'd do.
