A nice explanation of Core Isolation: https://feedthecuriosity.com/windows-os/what-is-core-isolation-and-memory-integrity-in-windows-11/
Attention: it only works on a 'modern device'.
I saw that you also use OSArmor. That program is compatible with Core Isolation.
Why are you still running W. 7? Would the risk of a (since January 14, 2020) not supported OS be compensated by SpyShelter and OSArmor? I highly doubt.

Thanks muchly for the info re core-isolation-and-memory-integrity-in-windows-11.

I still run Win7 because: I enjoy using it. Plus, Win7 often knows what I am trying to do before I do. Plus, like many others here at Wilders, I haven't had any infection (or even an attempted one) in many years. Plus, I synchro all data files to a USB flash drive 2-3 times daily. Plus, I image to a separate HD 2-3 per week, & that's THE best security of all. Plus, if/when I decide to "modernize" my OS, I will most likely switch to a Linux distro.

It doesn't seem like Spyshelter Firewall is available on their website at this time.
Cuious if this is temporary or is the firewall version discontinued.
Maybe a glitch in their web site?
I was going to switch things around and give it another try.
I can't open a support ticket to ask as I do not have a current license.

Softpedia offers a Spyshelter Firewall download. But if you click of Spyshelter's homepage via Softpedia, there is no mention or reference to download the Firewall. (As clearly referenced in post # twenty-eight)
Confusing to say the least since according to Softpedia the Firewall product was updated as recently as September 14, 2022. I gave both Spyshelter and the highly regaled Comodo firewall a spin a few years
ago and preferred Spyshelter because, IMO, it was way more user friendly and offered a comparable protection based on reviews, YouTube or otherwise, on any review I could lay my eyes on.

For those of you sticking with Windows 10 for the moment. check out the combination of Windows' native firewall and simplewall. Despite whatever frailties critics will find with the Windows firewall, simplewall
offers a superb and modifiable web filtration without the hassle of a typical behavior blocker's ping pong clicking of accepting or rejecting potential threats.

I've checked it - it's still possible to get from Polish page. Try to do it using button "Pobierz"

Odd, its not here. Still the same, no option to purchase.
Must be sometime on their end I imagine.
No matter grabbed a Premium version for now.
If the Firewall version comes back up for me I'm sure I'll grab a license.
    I appreciate the help.

Correct, seems like they have removed it. Years back I already suggested they should simply integrate the FW feature into SS Premium. Why offer so many versions, know what I mean?

    @ichito ,

Are you able to contact the dev and make an inquiry about a possible driver update... concerning Core Isolation?
Unfortunately, they are not responding back. Would really appreciate your input regarding this. Thank you

On their blog they posted this:
"Thank you for using SpyShelter! After looking carefully at how people use SpyShelter we have decided to discontinue the SpyShelter Firewall, and focus 100% on our more popular anti-malware and anti-keylogging technology."

I am pleased that they will spend more effort on their HIPS-type behavior blocker and anti-keylogger. Their HIPS is very powerful; yet it is relatively unobtrusive and quite easy for a user to configure.

I do not need their FW. I use a top-tier AV that includes an excellent FW.

Their firewall wasn't much count then? It's maybe their plans to remove the firewall into a different category of user?

I never used the SS firewall so I have no experience on which to base an opinion as to its quality. However, I do know that SS Premium is excellent, so I *feel* sure their FW is of equal quality. I was using Sphinx FW when I subscribed to SS, so I felt no need to switch FWs.

I appreciate the reply and feedback with it. I almost now wish i had picked up a license for the firewall- it can't be it's weakest chain of security, but good to see they did announce more developments going into the Core component program

This means that they 'll release a new version only " HIPS ", without firewall ?

I'm not sure. As I understand they will focus on SpyShelter Premium, but I might be wrong.

That's what it seems to indicate to me.

The curiosity is i wonder just how much of a customer base of home users still rely on SpyShelter's Firewall.
As well as what led them into their decision to drop it entirely

I am very concerned that something happened to one of their key security experts. SS has been around for quite a long time. People age. Times and circumstances change.

I would think that "firewall" in a product's name is not as marketable as it used to be. This is largely because of Windows' built-in firewall PLUS the exponential increase in user reliance on NOTHING more than Windows own internal security apps.

Take a good look at Wilder's firewall forum. It is quieter there, nowadays, & much less interesting than it used to be. Times change.
