Correct. Because this is the KB5015878.
For 22H2 you have to install the KB5015684.

Yes, I was too late to get them from the Microsoft servers.

Definitely not going to download them from a third party server!

I also missed them and I'm still on 21H2 but I suspect that 22H2 is sitting somewhere under the hood and waiting to be installed because the system partition is occupied by 4 GB more. However manual update checking brings nothing to install.

"All it takes to upgrade from Windows 10 21H2 to 22H2 is KB5015684, a tiny cumulative update weighing just 177KB. Like the previous "major" Windows 10 updates, 22H2 does not add new features or notable improvements. Besides the updated version and build numbers, Windows 10 22H2 is identical to its predecessor."

OK thanks for clearing up my suspicion :) those 4 GB must come from other sources then, well Windows ... it behaves on its own

    Thanks anon. No worries, then.

Edit: just read on Bleeping Computer, the enablement package for 22H2 is for Enterprise? Makes more sense, then.

Happy Bork day to me, happy bork day to me. Actually, no borks at all. What happened Microsoft? Should this thread be re-named or something?

Two updates went thru like buttah. Had a lot to clean up but some was from additional file and folder removal.

New winver for Windows 10: 19044.1899.

KB 5016616 and a security update KB5012170. Fixed the DogWalk exploit, it seems. :thumb:

No problems here as well on Win 10, except it took an unusual long time to download the updates (more than an hour).

Win 10 updates.. totally painless here.

Although being honest here, I've not really had a problem with Win Updates, just lucky I guess :)

I've used Win 10 since its release (2015), and I never had any issues updating. The only time I had problems was when I briefly joined the Insider Program, as a matter of fact I stay away from it as I enjoy a perfectly working machine.

I'm getting following error since the update (09.08.2022) and sometimes system fails to reboot/shutdown. It says "Task Host is stopping background tasks" and after a while returns to the desktop.

    Code:
    <Provider Name="Microsoft-Windows-ModernDeployment-Diagnostics-Provider" Guid="{bab3ad92-fb96-5902-450b-b8421bdec7bd}" />
    <EventID>1010</EventID>

    Autopilot.dll WIL error was reported.
    HRESULT: 0x80070491
    File: onecoreuap\admin\moderndeployment\autopilot\dll\dllmain.cpp, line 178
    Message: NULL

That error seems to have going since April right up until today on Win 10 and 11.

I saw that topic too, but I didn't want to waste my time trying the "solutions" one by one. Also "Task Host is stopping background tasks" issue was bugging me. So, I did rollback to pre update backup.
