Do I need to clean install v1.2.1?

 

normally you should never need a clean install

 

Well, Global Settings defaults settings may change and only show with clean install.
I was asking about v1.2.0-CV because v1.2.0-CV felt like special circumstance.
Okay, I'll over-install v1.2.1 over v1.2.0-CV (1.2.1)

 

Firefox doesn't flicker any more with this build if you drag it around. Thanks! Does show a black window though but this is not consistently.

 

I need to adjust the entire sbox window to see more Page Tree content. Page Tree width does not adjust separately. Just an observation. Vintage View - Native/None - 125/150%

I went back to build 1.1.3 but now am getting numerous error messages. So I reinstated 1.2.1 and will continue to evaluate. That error doesn't show up there when I open Firefox.

 

@plat1098 I wonder if the global setting "SandboxieLogon=y"
(default in v1.2.x) could be causing the error with the security token?
You could check if sandboxie.ini for v1.1.3 has this setting.

 

Sandboxie using the Plus edition (not sure about Classic) does not play nice with the "FVD Speed Dial" browser extension. Maybe that's a good thing since Firefox roughly shy or thereabouts of a year ago stripped the extension from its platform for what they deemed as nefarious reasons.
Entirely confirmable, of course. Sandboxie is turning out to be quite the beast that takes no prisoners.

 

Oh, interesting. Right now I took the easy way out by re-installing 1.2.1 which doesn't have this message. If the black box (apparent while dragging Firefox around) gets on my nerves enough, I'll reinstall 1.1.3 and take a closer look at the .ini.

tray menu is wonky...with my v1.2.1 - Vintage View - Qt - 100%

1) tray menu ~ Sandbox Settings from tray menu calls the last open (from SandMan) box Options.

for example: when I call Hardened Options from SandMan. Then Sandbox Settings from tray menu - any sbox - calls Hardened Options.
for example: when I call DefaultBox Options from SandMan. Then Sandbox Settings from tray menu - any sbox - calls DefaultBox Options.

when I highlight Edge sbox....then call my Edge sbox...then tray menu Edge sbox -> Sandbox Tools -> Browse Content - works

What is always shown is the content of Box1 (the box highlighted in advanced UI)

Window 10 Home Pro:

* Avast Secure Browser = fail. Also, with Version 1.1.3
* Brave = work = pass. Also, with Version 1.1.3
* Edge = half/pass the same with both version. Delay with both version.
* LibreWolf = pass with delay. Work well with Version 1.1.3

 

Windows 11 Pro V. 21H2- build number 22000.778 the DPI setting is not working properly. Not all letters are affected equally.

which dpi option have you set? native or Qt?

Maybe there is a connection or at least a hint to the possible solution?

 

Ran into a bigger problem, unfortunately:

I installed Opera in a sandbox a long time ago. This has always worked without problems so far. Unfortunately, the Sandboxie versions 5.57.1 (1.2.1) and also 5.57.0 (1.2.0) cause an immediate Blue Screen when I want to start Opera. Therefore, I am now back to version 5.56.3 (1.1.3) and the Opera browser installed in the sandbox works again.

Edit: I had also tried "SandboxieLogon=n" but the Blue Screen still happened. Possibly it is caused by the reworked hook management then? I have saved the memory dump in case you need it.

Following the update from v1.2.0 to v1.2.1, the following issues occurred:

• Initially, I couldn't run Brave sandboxed, and several error messages would show up:

• After several attempts, Brave finally launched, with Sandboxie still displaying this error message:

• For some reason, these messages haven't been showing up afterwards. So far.

• I also got a few error messages when running Firefox sandboxed. Initially. It stopped showing up after:

• Finally, here is the most persistant and significant issue that will make me rollback to v1.2.0: Since the update, I am no longer able to delete the content of any sandbox, nor am I able to explore its content. When I navigate through the new U.I. and click on either Delete Content, Explore Content or Browse Files, absolutely nothing happens... (??)

Been getting the above with Edge.
And Avast Secure Browser will not work
at all.

 

I may have worded it wrong. The font sizes are different between the main window and the drop-down menus, as you can see in the image linked in my previous post.

 

Did you try emptying the box?
this are generic errors should not be brve related, can you start anythign else in that box like cmd.exe?

 

I cant reproduce this did it behave differently in the previouse builds?
