    Now i have read it but it does not say how to apply it. I have browsed through the programs functions but have not found any clue. So, how?

    Paste the "INI Variable" into IFW.ini.

    Hm. This is the command, should i just paste it, as is, or should there be something more?
    /priority:4

    Just paste Priority:4

    What you have is not the INI Variable. You have the command line option.

    So the following will do?

    [Options]
    Simple=0
    PHYLockUseReg=0
    [PHYLock_Options]
    UseVSS=1
    /priority:4

    My pasting is the last item the others existed.

    It's not /priority:4

    It's Priority:4

    It goes in [Options] section.

    Like this then:

    [Options]
    Simple=0
    PHYLockUseReg=0
    [PHYLock_Options]
    UseVSS=1
    Priority:4

    Paste Priority:4 underneath
    Simple=0

    So this is the correct way?

    [Options]
    Simple=0
    Priority:4
    PHYLockUseReg=0
    [PHYLock_Options]
    UseVSS=1

    Just tried it, did not work. Changing it to - Priority=4, worked.

    Thanks a bunch Brian K.

    Enjoying your holiday?

    @Brian K

    Code:
    /boottbwr (BootTBWinRE) option to offer reboot to TBWinRE when unable to lock on restore.
    I want this feature for backups too. I want to create a new thread @ Terabyte's forums to make a request for it, do you think this title is appropriate?
    Code:
    /boottbwr (BootTBWinRE) option to offer reboot to TBWinRE when performing a backup.

    Hi!

    Are you familiar with this feature?
    Code:
    /boottbwr (BootTBWinRE) option to offer reboot to TBWinRE when unable to lock on restore.
    With this, IFW restarts the machine to do a restore operation. Well, I want the same feature for backups, ie, IFW able to reboot my machine to do a backup operation.

    Why? Well I got some reasons but the most important for me is an issue when I have a shadowed Windows session (Shadow Defender) and at the moment I start a system partition backup operation, IFW triggers VSS to lock all needed files, you know. And sometimes the backup file gets "corrupt" and if I restore it, some other issues might interfere with its normal function.

    At the end, I need to restart the machine anyway. So why not have a feature which IFW offers a choice to make use of VSS or Reboot the machine to automatically boot into TBWinRE > IFW > reboot automatically > boot into Windows again. Just like it actually does with Automatic Restore feature.

    In short, for me Automatic Reboot for Backup operations serves me well to prevent issues and waste of time on different scenarios or circumstances.

    No i am not familiar with that.

    In all it was a bit different then i thought. I thought it would be something that one could use as to boot DIRECTLY to the restore action based on what was backup up, instead of going through all the clicking to arrive at a restoration.

    Anyway, good luck.

    I confirm. I started with IFW version 1.20, I've made hundreds of restore and no issue. Never. I still work with Phylock. The only problem is that the soft becomes more and more complicated. You need to be a programmer to understand all the possibilities. By chance I am half a programmer...
    That is why I am interested by drive snapshot that seems very simple (as IFW was, many many years ago). But as far as I've understood DSshot is done by one person. And if this guy stops working, what do we do ?!!
