Thanks @mood- After all these many years users are still tasked with cutting the crud from lame Windows releases
I just wonder if someone tried this tool. What is the risk of creating more problems on your windows installation?
I don't trust programs like this, IMO the less you tweak Windows the better it works. I do tweak a little thru "Settings" but not a lot.
Well, it does say you can revert the changes. If I HAD to, I would consider it for Windows 10 but not for Windows 11. I do "tweaks" that have been around and are time-tested. Almost always manually, like via command prompt.
@digmor crusher, I agree with you. I wouldn't use these kind of tools either but I am curious to know if somebody on the Forum tried it...
Realy ? every program need revert changes?? Be smart and do backup if something wrong you can always undo.. revert option in soft dont give you 100% warranty will back to clean state... something still can happen wrong.
OK, you're right. I just figured since it used PowerShell scripts, it wouldn't be such a big deal. In theory. But I personally wouldn't use this program regardless, preferring to manually do some tweak that's already been around the block a few times.
I copied some tweaks from those apps, but I prefer to do it myself. The result is worth it. Tweaking Edge as well, just the latest version 98 added several privacy unfriendly features sending URLs and images to MS.
I also think it's not necessary on Win 10. Computers nowadays have a lot RAM memory and fast CPUs. In the XP days tweaking services with black viper would significantly speed up a computer. Another fastidious consequence is that something might stop working due to tweaks, and you don't know why...
