Visual Studio Code, PSPad. If you're working with large text files, both are a better option.

I pity anyone that requires the use of them. I removed my floppy drive when I found it would no longer read any of the disks I had. They don't seem to last more than a couple of years before they become unreadable. I just searched to see if you can even still buy the disks. I see that Amazon has them and they cost about $30 (U.S.) for a box of 10, making them about $3 each. That same price (for the box of 10) will get you a 1 TB flash drive.

I had to look up online what a floppy disk could hold. The most advanced one is 240 MB? omg.

But when I ran Windows 11, I could enable CSM for legacy devices in the BIOS and then theoretically at least, could run floppy disks (in an unguarded moment).

Sounds more like a zip drive disk? Standard floppy disks were 1.44 MB with 1.38 MB of usable space after formatting. At least the 3.5 inch were. The 5.25 were even less.

The 240MB floppy is for the SuperDisk, which was released in 1997.

Same company that made the Zip and Jazz disks. I think they all required proprietary drivers and patented disks so I'm not going to count them as standard floppy disks.

I'm hoping it's just me but I just finished installing Dev build 22538. The taskbar tray looks terrible. The alignment doesn't match and the little chevron on the right shows a tootip that says "show hidden icons" but clicking it does nothing.

Have they split the beta channel from release preview? They have been the same for a while and I am unaware that anything has changed lately.

No idea to be honest. Have not tested an insider build in awhile.

MS has finally resolved (by optional update KB5010793) the nasty bug that was crippling VPN to such an extent that it was unusable.
