Many people still use these two systems, isn't ?

Well...never mind , after Emsi banned my legal license with out reason ,
I had already given up Emsisoft and no longer use it .

 

Not supported means only no new versions or also no signatures updates ?

 

Thank you. It's a bad new, I have been using it for a long time and I always trusted it.

They lost me as a customer when they went to this "management console" nonsense.

 

Same here. The console is needless overhead and complications for their typical home users customers.

 

Emsi had a big personnel change in 2021 early ,
even the customer lead that I know , had be replace , too .

After the new team take over , their services getting worse ,
and at August 2021, they even suddenly direct terminated my legally license and with out notice ,
refuse provide any answer and do not accept any evidence ,
only keep asking me to purchase again .

When i protest , than ban my email , lol .

 

Didn't know that.
I respect(ed?) Fabian Wosar ... is he still with them?
I just ignore the Console stuff, I'm sure that's more for enterprise clients.

 

I haven’t found anything in his twitter that indicates otherwise. So I assume he still is.

Not so sure what happen inside , because I am not their employee .
but I discover few old employees resign or transfer positions,
customer service manager has been reassigned .

But they do not touch technical department ,
so as I know , Fabian Wosar is still Emsi's CTO .

 

It's a shame to hear this. Just when I was about to check them out again.

 

Turns out I somehow ended up using the Console after all. I must have linked one machine to my workspace when checking it out ...
So I linked the other two.

I had an issue with one machine, but support quickly and efficiently sorted it out remotely (known issue).

Apparently they are gradually moving away from the model 'software+license' towards a 'more powerful software-as-a-service' model.
'The license keys will no longer be in use and everything will be connected to the Workspaces, that allow you full management of the protection, including groups settings, security policies and upgrades'.

So now I do have local and/or remote management via the console.
No issues, so no reason to ditch them; I will continue with Emsisoft for now.
