At StackSocial, AOMEI Backupper Professional Edition - LIFETIME subscription - was $28.
Currently, Stack Social has a special coupon - APPS30. It's 30% off any original price; therefore,
I've purchased a LIFETIME subscription for (final) $21.

    You posted it in 2014.

I tested Aomei Backupper Pro in 2019 and mentioned the same to Aomei, that it seems to scan the whole partition to perform incrementals and that it should look for changes only. Their reply was, "We will look into it and improve it."

Now I have tested it on Win 11. The incremental backup speed is the same.

    Aomei Backupper Pro 6.8
9 minutes for a full backup
6 minutes for an incremental backup (every hour backup)
    11 minutes to restore
The incremental backup time is mostly 5–6 minutes.

    EaseUS Workstation 13.5
9 minutes for a full backup
Around 1 minute for an incremental backup (every hour backup)
    9 minutes to restore
The incremental backup time is mostly a few seconds–a minute or so.

    Macrium Home 8
9 minutes for a full backup
A little over 1 minute for an incremental backup (every hour backup)
    5 minutes to restore
The incremental backup time is mostly 1 minute and a few seconds.

I have used EaseUS Workstation and Macrium Home for over a year, and both have served me well with reliable restore operations.

I have tried but not used Aomei Backupper Pro for a long time. How reliable is it in restoring the system?

I've never had any issues with restoring. But it's something I rarely do.

It may be that speed is a major choice (and most would go to an apps reliability) but it is the user himself that will decide to "keep or not to keep" an app with him. Every user has his own way of backup scheme. Every user has his own unique situation / condition. Even if he has the fastest one in his belt but he has some issues at hand from time to time then it may fall in the "not-so-reliable" box. Or even he has the most reliable but that app takes a lot of time to use or accomplish a task..then that may fall in "not-so-good box". Even if he is bombarded by statistics (A and B comparison -- I thought it is not allowed here...) it is he (user) who will decide in the end what he will keep.

Wish me luck. Although for years and still even now i always relied on Macrium Reflect and DriveSnapshot with positive results, i'm trying out Aomei Backupper and so far i am cautiously confident in it's performance and reliability. When it comes to imaging my motto is backup with a few extra "different" imagers and see where it goes for you.

My reason for the interest in Aomei stems from a few times that their excellent Partition Assistant restored perfectly and quickly a couple of drive volume issues that i ran into on my Windows 8.1 systems. I had tried a couple others at the time but Aomei really did a stellar job.

So far Backerupper is showing awesome as well. It seems clean, refined, and efficient with just the right amount of features that work remarkably well to my surprise.

Agree ! I use Aomei Backupper since 2017, and it always worked very fine. The only feature that I wish it had is the Acronis " Try and decide " function.

I have been using AOMEI Backupper for several years and I am very satisfied with this program. The only time I had trouble was with a backup that couldn't be used.I then selected another backup, which worked without any problems.

Thanks @Oldie1950 & @blacknight for your feedbacks and reply. So far i am satisfied with it myself. I'm not out to break any speed records with either the backup or restore ETA's but i must share that at least on a couple of systems it started seemingly slow (slow being subjective) but walked away only a short time, came back and the task was done!

I subsequently made (2) Backupper images yet deleted one manually on the External Storage Drive. When i run the Aomei Boot Disc it still shows the folder where it no longer exists yet it displays in backups. I went to TOOLS but so far i found no way to remove it. Is there a way to simply delete the old empty folder so it no longer shows up? Thank You- It's not a problem but i would like to keep it accurate.

Not sure it can help you, but: open Aomei, go to Home, see the folder of your done image, open Advanced and select " Delete Backup " and you have two options to do it.

I did the same as you several times, alternating between Macrium, EaseUs and AOMEI, but only one has never failed, and that is Macrium free, not once. I backup several times a week, and have done so for many years now. I save myself the trouble of testing others now, I only run Macrium free :thumb:

Hi and Greetings @pernu - Funny you should mention that. Timely too. In my very recent series of making fresh backups, newest of which is Aomei Backupper of course, last evening i rounded out with Macrium Reflect. On a 500GB HDD (spindle type), of which roughly contains 239 used, it finished a backup in approx 2 hours. I'm not put off by that length of time simply because i also have yet to experience a single fail with MR.

I am new with Aomei Backupper and it was noticeably faster so much as creating one but just as long as they restore without issue i'm all good with that.
