As it's been a while since I used VS on a regular basis, I may have missed something.
Using latest betas is there a reason why the VS shield turns blue when I am doing a Macrium Reflect (v:cool: manual backup ?

If I remember correctly the shield turns blue because an external HDD/USB is inserted, the computer is at risk.

Reported to Dan almost a week ago, he is looking into it.
In my case the issue was caused by windows wanting to connect to wi fi before selecting internet via Ethernet, my connection of choice, causing a short delay. I prioritized Ethernet connection on adapter settings. I followed the link below method. And I had to disable completely wi fi on Internet & Network settings.
    No more Prompts.

Yes, that seems related to my experience.
In my case block occurred before wifi had connected ...

Looking for solutions browsing the net, I read that it is a known issue with windows. The link method I provided can be used also to prioritize your WI FI on adapter priorities settings, if it keeps happening. There are ways to do that with command prompt also but I lost the link.

Had a strange problem after rebooting a Windows 7 PC tonight. Shortly after Windows launched, I got a message from VoodooShield saying that an upgrade to version 7.00 was required and the program wouldn't function until I did that. So I clicked to OK the upgrade, but a few seconds later an unfamiliar message popped up on the screen, to the effect that it couldn't find some .EXE file or other, I think it might have been an uninstall executable. When I told it to continue (sorry, it all happened so fast that I can't remember in any more detail), there was a dialog saying that it was reverting things.

Now, however, the VS icon has disappeared from the Start menu, but the VS service is still listed as running in Task Manager. A second reboot didn't bring back the offer to update VS. So I seem to have no way to update it now. The VS folder still exists, with a number of files in it.

Has anybody else run into this issue? Ideas/suggestions?

    Thank you.

Also had some troubles with the update.
Close the VS service from the taskbar and install 7.00 downloaded from voodooshield.com.

I keep getting the "Do I want to update?" message, but when I click on "Yes", nothing is happening.
