That v4 will filter better. I mean that ads which aren't blocked in v3, they will be in v4. You always expect better performance from a new version, don't you?

isn't that more of a filter list selection issue?

Partly. v4 is completely rewritten, so I thought it will improve filtering in its core. Therefore I said that it behaves like v3, no better, no worse. But perhaps my exaggerated expectations. No problem.

Great news for all AdGuard Browser Extension users: we're on the verge of updating it to v4.0! Among the biggest changes:

    - Responsive design
    - Code refactoring
    - New Filtering log
    - ...and more

And if you can't wait for the release and would like to help us test the beta version, you're more than welcome!

    Download the latest beta here:

Reverted to v3.6.16 as the beta didn't perform well on my machine. I mean there was a significant delay in the beta extension initiation after start up of Opera/Chrome browser. During this lag Adguard wasn't filtering traffic.

    Thanks for your input.

I do use FF and I'm going to archive the final v3.x xpi before I let FF install the v4.0 release, just in case.

I'm trusting the new version will be OK with the 27 user rules I've built...

    Cheers.

Can anyone comment on AdGuard's compatibility with Decentraleyes and/or Privacy Badger? Mega-thanks in advance!

Hi StillBorn. Yes I use those three together, have experienced no conflicts of any kind. Big fan of AdGuard, and Privacy Badger is quite active doing its job. Now and then a member will comment that Decentraleyes is out-dated (last updated September 6, 2021) or not as good as other extensions, but it suits me and it will remain, although I don't see it as being on par with the other two. If for some reason I had to quit using one of the three it would probably be Decentraleyes.

AdGuard for Android got a Browser Security module update as well with v3.6.5 on my v11 phone and v9 tablet.

Also, updates to CoreLibs and DNSLibs.

And "add 360 browser to the list of browsers." Which confuses me because their web site touts "its "own filtering engine" for "Chrome, Firefox or any browser you like." As I like byteman's XBrowser, I'm going ask AdGuard for some explanation on that any browser thing. Though my blocks for facebook, twitter and others work...

Anxiously waiting on the v4 Firefox extension for my PCs!

    Cheers.
