    Yes. However, its not a HIPS firewall so you either need to get Symantec Endpoint or WVSX. You can run LMT Antimalware alongside them.

    Norman, are you confirming that LMT's basic firewall does intercept outbound network requests, requiring the user to allow or deny the connection?

    This seems to be based in Vietnam. Are there any Chinese connections?

    This is just a one-man project I did in my free time.

    Thanks for the confirmation (and for LMT AntiMalware)! I'll give it a trial run on my laptop for a while - if all goes well I'll gladly buy you a coffee. ;)

    A behavior blocker isn't really HIPS. Every AV has one today.

    Hi!
    LMT AntiMalware 5.8.5 released. PLEASE UPDATE TO THIS VERSION!
    Changelog:
    • Updated Cloud Database to ver 2.0. Starting November 15, the old Cloud DB will be deprecated, so if you're still using the old version, you won't be able to use Cloud Database.

    It seems that version 5.8.5 has some problems, I have decided to temporarily remove this version. The download link on the homepage has been redirected to version 5.8.4
    If you are using version 5.8.5, I suggest you to reinstall version 5.8.4

    LMT AntiMalware sounds pretty good - going to give it a try (and I agree that Everything is great software).
    Thank you!

    @LeMinhThanh,

    I installed LMTAM 5.9, having first exited SpyShelter (no other antimalware or antivirus is active). When I attempted to switch-on Fileless Malware Protection (on the Dashboard) my system (Win10 x64 21H1) hung 'forever' until terminated with Task Manager! After terminating LMTAM and now re-launching it I see Fileless Malware Protection is enabled without the system hanging?

    Also, I'm using MS Edge with a VPN and when I enable LMTAM's Web Protection I can't load webpages! - the problem goes away if I disconnect my VPN.

    Hello, is this bug still happening?
    What VPN are you using? Maybe your VPN and LMT AntiMalware's network driver are not compatible.

    As I said, it only happened when I first installed LMTAM about 8 hours ago.

    I'm using HideAway VPN. I have to disconnect from the VPN in order to avoid this (major) problem!

    Can you try to switch off then switch on again, maybe it was an unexpected error.
    I will test HideAway VPN with my app in VirtualBox.

    @LeMinhThanh,

    Even with the VPN disconnected I get a message to the effect of "There was a problem connecting to the server" when loading my.Yahoo homepage! I suspect this problem may also be due to your network driver.
