Yeah like this nonsense they keep pestering me with when I launch Windows Updates Thanks for this, Norman, it looks intriguing.
You're welcome. The PC Health Check tells users the extent to which their PC meets Windows 11 requirements. All was good to go in mine except for an unlisted processor.
I honestly can not imagine why anyone would be trying to circumvent hardware requirements to downgrade to Windows 11. I am looking at preventing any of my compatible computers from having it installed. I have it on only one test computer, and that will be the only one.
I think its more optimized than Windows 10 and its been a pleasant experience since I tested it in September in the Windows Insiders Program. I have no regrets.
Using the beta version of Rufus didn't work for me. It copied the Windows 11 ISO to a flash drive. But when I launched the setup.exe file from within Windows, it said This PC Must Support TPM 2.0. Maybe it's because I don't even have TPM 1.2. After trying registry fixes with no luck, I followed the steps in the following link, and this fixed the issue. This time, the Windows 11 installer has run without any error. It said my PC doesn't meet the system requirements, but gave me the option to continue anyway. https://newscutzy.com/windows/this-...Install_Windows_11_Without_TPM_20_Secure_Boot
The bypass is really meant for PCs that meet the Windows 11 minimum hard floor but usually their processor isn't on the Microsoft official list. My processor is unlisted but everything else is compatible.
Thanks, I saw the x but for some reason, maybe too lazy, didn't bother clicking it. It's also the fact they inserted that in on a recent update that's annoying as well. I'm wondering what sort of pestering is coming next from MS. Edit I posted this on Linux. Booted to Windows, clicked the x and I confirm I get the same as Krusty.
Rufus released the stable version. I'll try Rufus to clean install Win 11 on my old laptop from 2011 that doesn't have TPM, Secure Boot, and an unsupported processor for Win 11. Did you try Rufus created bootable ISO to clean install Win 11?
Ok. I'll try Rufus to clean install Win 11. If any warning doesn't allow me to continue the installation, I'll check the link mentioned in one of your posts here.
