You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Edge to see if that helps. I've had versions of Firefox in the past do the same thing.

I ended up upgrading my video drivers. So far so good. I will keep an eye on it and try this if it persists. Thanks.

Your PC is compatible with Windows 11, but you get an error in Windows Update? Microsoft is working on a fix!

Still wary that Windows Updates may not be guaranteed - if it's just the processor that's under-specced?

In which case I'd rather stay on Win 10.

Curiosity got the better of me. Installing on my laptop to see what happens. Worst case I have an image from this morning I can roll back to.

I would agree on PCs that don't meet the Windows 11 minimum hard floor. But if everything is supported but the processor, there likely won't be issues in running Windows 11. Microsoft thinks Windows 11 runs best on generation 7 and 8 Intel processors but doesn't mean older processors can't run it, provided all the other requirements are met.

It did. I expected issues and figured I would be ready to restore my Windows 10 image but everything seems work and and I am finding I am liking it more than I expected to. I'm going to continue to tinker with it tomorrow and may end up keeping it. It's a different experience than running it in a VM.

i knew you would like it. for my money, it's better than 10.
11 is lighter, faster, much more responsive than 10. well, at least it was for me while i was running it on a vm.

Since Windows 11 at the core is Windows 10, I don't see why Windows 10 drivers won't work. This is the first time I've heard of a compatibility issue with a printer brand.

Printers have been a hot mess this year with MS. Especially with Print Nightmare. Just add this to the list.

There you have it folks. I can't speak for USB as most of the printers at work are network printers but even then there have been issues all throughout.

No all of ours are wired and rolled out via GPO's.

Happened to look in Reliability Monitor and was a little surprised: except for one failed Windows Store app update, it's been pretty stable these last couple of weeks. So, I think I'm going to stay in the Insiders Beta Channel for now. Windows 11 is running pretty smoothly right now.
