Well i'm not running win11 and have no plans to, at present I have a great running, stable system that's tuned to my needs and I just don't have the time to do any testing for it's own sake.
I'm not an extensive tester, could it possibly be that the superfetch service has time to get things sped up over the course of some hours, so that system loads get faster?

I'm doing a fresh Win11 install to my test computer but to a SSD instead of to a NVMe drive. I'm interested to see if it is different.

I did a fresh Win11 install to a SSD and to a NVMe drive in my test computer. Win11 load time was 16 seconds in each case. Not 42 seconds. I checked my notes and my previous test was on Aug 22 and it was on the main computer, not the test computer. So I've only seen this issue on one computer, not two. Sorry for the error.

Microsoft idiocrats can't figure out how to support an officially listed processor while they blacklist perfectly capable older processors not even in need of a workaround! There's a lot more broken than bugs in an os that after its advertised rollout, is still unfinished, feeling like a perpetual beta.

Nice looking forward to this. I am waiting for the Enterprise ISO to do a fresh install.

Seems so. Funny they would first right out of the blue announce 11, then after release now corner themselves into a rush knowing full well bugs are going to surface left and right which is common but still, a NEW O/S should & would have research/development all over it at the start to finish you might think. Then a final before public release full Quality Control check to minimize potential of the appearance of a flop.

Which raises another matter. Windows 8 still has extended support, and of course Windows 10 is already in full swing for some time now. Looks like that alone is going to keep them busy Multitasking issues let alone dealing with continuous ongoing hack attempts at disrupting the security aspect of them all.

That's right in line with shuffling off all these "mandatory" security requirements onto the end user instead of arresting more bugs and vulns during in-house development.

Next up for third party developers: emulation software to bring older processors in compliance with Windows 11 requirements. Why contribute to e-waste?

I agree but I think the answer to that has become obvious. Big tech is more interested in profits than waste while they scold all of us for a need to do something about the problem they encourage by trying to get us to upgrade all of our devices on an annual basis.

Still a deal breaker for many. I'm finding Dell Inspirons have no TPM whatsoever. Not that I wanted to upgrade them but with no option to do so it doesn't matter.

Roger. Not all that bad then since feature updates are normally blah.

They've also realized that Windows 11 ready PCs won't be on the market for awhile. The easier thing Microsoft could have done is loosen the processor requirements.
If you're going to keep TPM and secure boot, why exclude PCs that already meet the Windows 11 minimum hard floor? A very good question, indeed.

You do for PCs with TPM and secure boot. Mine has them but with an unlisted processor. Windows 11 doesn't show it in an unsupported state. Hmmm....

Unofficially, you could but because they don't meet the Windows 11 minimum hard floor, Microsoft won't support them, workaround or no workaround.

Windows 11 is the new Windows 10 LTSC. Which makes enterprises very happy.
