I don't run (nor test) Immediate Recovery. Just me.

Addendum: ok, maybe I am now on to something, too.
    Questions:
    1. Can you see the downloaded files in "Recover Files" as soon as you tick "Show all files"? I can - but only with that tick-mark set.
    2. Are your downloaded files offered for recovery by that pop-up-window of the "immediate recovery"-routine? Mine are, even when they are not visible in the "Recover Files"-Window without that tick-mark.

All in all that might point to some issue where those downloaded files are physically there ("Show all files") - yet are no longer recognized as "redeemable stuff", so to say.

Edit: I just read that you do not apply "immediate recovery". So forget about the second question. Or you might try that feature as a workaround in the meantime.

I can see the downloaded ccsetup files with Explore Content.
I cannot see downloaded ccsetup files with Recover Files + Show All Files. 0.9.1

as always, your mileage may vary

Ok that is strange the changes could have only affected imminent recovery not the normal file recovery dialog as this is done by the UI only

Au contraire mon frère. Meanwhile I've looked into that matter, too. Initially I had no such observations as @bjm BECAUSE I'm always using immediate/imminent recovery - and that seemed to work flawlessly, even excelerated in reaction-time, if that's possible.

But meanwhile and after comparing with v0.8.6 I can confirm @bjm's observations. I downloaded some files (e.g. "TotalCommander"-installation package from www.ghisler.com) and when that immediate-recovery-window popped up I paused it there and pressed neither "Recover" nor "Dismiss".

Instead I opened up Sandman and first looked into "Explore content": yes, the downloaded files were there.
Then I looked into "Recover Files". To my surprise - empty! I then ticked the "Show all files"-box and - contrary to @bjm's observations - now the downloaded files became visible among others.

But, even after closing the sandboxed browser down, those files were never offered for (quick-) recovery.

Since this is an important matter could you perhaps issue some prioritized hotfix soon before implementing any other new features?

Hi David, can't seem to get groups showing and "Move to Group" is greyed out in portable mode. Have I missed a trick or groups are not available (in portable mode)? Thanks

I will accelerate a fix but as the issue is present only in a pre-release build and not a final one I won't rush things to much.

Just to say that I'm now very happy with the new right-click taskbar icon functionality (0.9.1). Thanks David :thumb:

Thanks, although this is for @algol1 I think. About showing the boxes under groups, maybe I was unclear?

If I now right-click on a shortcut or exe and then "run sandboxed/run outside sandbox", the (forced) program still runs sandboxed.
    1.png

but if I disable Forced Programs from the taskbar icon that still works.

I have tried it with both Firefox and Edge

Understood! No real hurry here either. Just do as you see fit! Most importantly the issues are recognized and you can affirm them yourself.

On a sidenote and after some days of use with the pre-releases >v0.9 I can now report that the frequency of those error-messages of the

    "opera_crashreporter.exe (2748: SBIE2101 Object name not found: Unnamed object, error ConnectPort (C0000022) access=001F0000 initialized=1"

-type has now significantly increased. Such a window will now pop up on average every 5-7 minutes, although so far without any serious consequences, it would appear. I cannot correlate them to any specific action within the browser. Maybe once it looked like - when I was trying to include an emoji to an Instagram-post - after opening the emoji-sub-window that it suddenly collapsed together with the error-message popping up. But other than that I've not been able to correlate the error-messages to some specific malfunction within the browser.

Here's my quick, but not great, effort at full and empty icons; adapted from David's and poss. one posted elsewhere.

    IconFull.png IconEmpty.png

I feel sure others can do a lot better, but at least the difference is very obvious to my not so great eyes..

Yep my wonky eyes can see this difference well. Good work!

@DavidXanatos do you have the old Sandboxie Plus tray icons anywhere so I can snag them? The purple empty box + purple box full of yellow sand were my personal faves. Complete with little blue shovels. :) No worries if you've deleted them.

Anyone tell me why Plus is suddenly loading these processes on my pc's after startup and before I use any sandboxed programs, forced or otherwise?
    upload_2021-8-4_18-26-56.png

Never used to happen, and I haven't changed my startup programs. Reverting to 0.9.0 fixes the issue.

    @DavidXanatos
Retest Test FW: Box test with Putty.exe
    Internal FW works
WFP Error message is cleared. However it is now blocking under both settings, allow and block. Test with no additional rule of protocoll or IP, just plain block and allow. However if I select to use prompt, it works, once I say yes.

Reminder: Group create option in menu, not urgent, just to know if you read it.

Icons, I would again vote for little hungry sandman, eating the SBI pizza when active. Just saying :isay:

Active options eating SB Pizza SandboxmanActive3.png or SandboxmanActive2.png or SandboxmanActive1.png

@DavidXanatos, I have a slight problem with Sandboxie 5.50.9 classsic x64. Sometime files that I download, and then immediately restore via SBIE prompt, get copied to their directory and not moved. This means that the file is still in the sandbox, so when I close a sandboxed app I get prompted to recover a file that is already there. Have there been any reports of any such behavior?

Sent, simple blank box hardened with all options on for testing, created with one of the previous versions to test, no change to ini, all from settings.

Ah I see the problem, in the process restrictions you have set that all unlisted processes have no access, you need to add putty.exe there and set it to allow to.
I should improve this to make it more consistent and not require setting in booth panels

0.9.2 fixes both my problem with running program outside sandbox still being sandboxed; and unwanted processes running in sandbox on startup :thumb::)
