I don't have that Adguard URL Tracking Protection listed in UBO. I only have 2 filters listed under privacy and that is not one of them.

Can you try updating your uBlock version if possible?

    ublock is 1.36.0 for chrome/Firefox.

    (images link works here, firefox)

    shortener:
    adguard: 179 of 198
    shortener tool: 555 of 557

    seems those are different.

    Code:

The Chrome extension for UBO updated today, but I still don't have that Adguard URL Tracking Protection listed in UBO.

    Privatsphäre (Privacy)
[x]AdGuard URL Tracking Protection (181 of 197 here)

    my bad.

the list from github and "included" are a bit different
    Code:
    !#if (!adguard_app_windows && !adguard_app_mac && !adguard_app_android)
    ...
    !#endif
the list above has a duplicate which the "included" has not

    1) Try "Purge all caches" + "Update now" > restart Chrome > no joy > repeat.
    2) No joy. Back up to file > remove uBO > fresh install uBO > Restore from file.

That worked and got the Adguard URL Tracking Protection listed in UBO. Thank you very much bjm.

One problem I discovered some weeks ago with uBlock on FF is that checking "uncloack canonical name" is causing dns leak when the browser is using a proxy. It's more a FF bug than a uBlock one, though.

On Chrome, this setting seems even not possible to implement. :(

Leaking what to where? More precisely please.
If uncloaking seems that leakage, don't you think others would have noticed this issue too?

If you mean leakage, this would mean DNS reversing with a 3rd-party request, i dont think so.

Anyhow most proxies are transparent. which do you use?

I use UBO and can play that video no problems. Must be one of your filter lists blocking it.

Set up a Socks5 proxy on FF, with network.proxy.socks_remote_dns set to true, and uBlock activated with "uncloack canonical name" checked . Then go on a DNSLeak Test site (I like https://www.grc.com/dns/dns.htm). The site will displays the Dns IP relative to the proxy, and your ISP Dns IPs (or your VPN Dns IP if you use the proxy on top of a vpn connection and your vpn is not itself leaking Dns).

Then uncheck "uncloack canonical name". This time, the site will only display the Dns IP relative to the proxy.

This problem happens when using many "vpn" FF extensions, too. And TorBrowser as well (when running with uBlock, which is not recommended BTW) .

This is indeed the case, unfortunately:
    https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBl...hub.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/911
    https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1618271

Now I have unchecked this uncloacking feature.

A workaround nevertheless could be to use DoH with network.trr.mode=3.

If you do not use webrtc(Video-Chat) in firefox then disable it in firefox:
    about:config -> media.peerconnection.enabled <-- false

i forgot to answer the question: yes, that feature is reliable. In case of Chrome and similar ublock or a webrtc extension is needed (firefox see above).

I provided a link in my previous post.
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/threads/vpn.431003/page-3#post-3017038

It seems the WebRTC leaks protection in uBlock Origin is not working.

    edit!

    stupid of science.

    the uBo feature is called:
Prevent WebRTC from leaking local IP address

"local" means your "local area network" IP, not your public IP from provider.

    so yes, that does work

It works for me with the default uBlock Origin configuration and filters.
(I have only added the AdGuard Annoyances and AdGuard Social Media filters, block Facebook and have allowed cookielaw.org).
So, like @digmor crusher said: it must be a filter or a setting other than the defaults.
