I apologize for the inconvenience of drudging up an old program that caught a lot of flack in it's early hey days over the Crawler thing. Those who been around and was around back then know what it refers to. But the purpose of raising this topic is in the hopes that someone from those times, maybe even brief user's of it, could help me pinpoint and find the few if only version of SpywareTerminator whereby it added a ongoing toast raised from the taskbar actually indicating in real time loading dll's etc. For some that would been considered an annoyance but it also was IMO, for those who liked that feature and used it, could easily view various loadings as the rising toast popup populated on screen. It's been a long forgotten app I know, and didn't exactly enjoy rave popularity against it's competition then, but that single feature alone caught my attention that if nothing else the ST program was useful for such a live monitoring. At the risk of seeming nostalgic over old apps I like to know if anyone, someone remembers and can share if you can the exact version that sported that little feature. It might be laughable now but in those early 98 to XP days anything which offered a user a firsthand view of loading processes and Dll's automatically without having to resort to tools do it like we do now could have been considered a bonus feature. But only for those geeks who had something to gain from observing that data right up on the screen as it happened. Regards EASTER
Yeah I know its old school likely only 32bit but anyone even tried the thing before? This is a real stretch but you never know.

Yep That's the same page I found. Thanks for a reply @roger_m. I will have to go thru the entire collection but if my mind serves enough, I believe it was a Beta and in fact the ONLY interest I ever had in all the many releases they made. The trouble is, that many releases don't make a changelog to the exact model I was hoping to run across. Not only that but im not even sure if that great feature even supports x64 since it was a strictly 32bit pile of releases. But thanks again nonetheless. I bet im the only sole surviver who remembers that feature in beta which he failed to keep it with the subsequent releases afterwards.
No @digmor crusher. I don't WANT to run long obsolete or outdated programs, and would never. However on some test boxes that I have, its the one, and only one release I can recall that had a very clever built in NOW LOADING dll monitor and other processes loading that raised up on-screen you could actually see with your own eyes which ones were currently in action before lowering down again to your system task tray. I know it sounds weird now but some strange features capture attention with useful info that you can confirm are accurate. And if lucky enough might have other uses. BTW does ST version you mention 1.8.5.986 performed that oddball function? If I remember right the thing demands a FULL SCAN "first" before what's called Real-Time Protection but THAT isn't of concern. What is is as a user would click any file a toast populated with active interactions rise up displaying those files/processes which are connected to whichever executable was launched. As some interactions finished their calls to whatever dll etc the list in the toast boxes settled back down into the tray. Very geeky but if genuine a feature nonetheless. Of course most users hate those type viewable interruptions they find annoying. Nonetheless in this quest of mine the 1.8.5.986 you suggested is scanning now. If no joy, no worse for wear. No prob. I can go thru the whole 100 releases if that's what it takes. Even then is no guarantee it will surface the one im in search of. This is been driving me crazy for years ever since I got rid of everything Windows 98 That was the single da bomb feature if anyone asked me. And in all fairness to the developer of SpywareTerminator irregardless of the flack he took on the chin over Crawler and maybe other things, I have in all these many years not seen an equal to that particular feature in not a single one single antimalware program ever developed even to this day PERIOD. I actually liked Spyware terminator. Used to beta test it back in the day. Wish they'd update it. Still days 2015 and hasn't been updated in ages. But still gets definition updates.
@Brocke Do you remember or can you during those marathon releases which were many, remember one in particular where every time you click a file on your desktop that immediately a very informative series of computer interactions was displayed that came up from the tray area and even grew if there was activity? A sort of alert to display on-screen what actions other connecting files such as DLL's or another process was displayed before settling back down to the tray area.
Well at least someone does. The program itself was of no matter but when it sported that live-real-time on the spot activity toasts in a flurry of detailed files interacting, now THAT was worth the attention for me from a research standpoint. Still no joy finding 1.4 at all yet. Like rummaging thru a landfill Leave it me to have that driving force of nostalgia from Windows 98 era. Which isn't all bad either. FileChangeAlarm and a good sort of other old apps run on Windows 10 perfectly like nobody's business. You can even run WinFlip and DeskHedron and Madotate to name just a few very useful desktop apps. The 3D of Madotate was well ahead of it's time as some others left behind.

Well if it is or not I sure am grateful you all even bothered to help a guy out in search of what by now is nothing but abandonware in these days of high energy pc systems and 64bit. I went with the first one 1.4 which seems like might be the little old coin only a metal detector like me would bother to try to resurface for sake of nostalgia.
