Good timing? Coincidence? Maybe. But just got the 21H2 update over the what was 20H2.

It's fun being a noob again. And interesting.

The Store is working fine here atm. I clicked on "Get" for two unfamiliar apps, and one already in my Library and all three d//installed and launched just fine. Also updated three apps via the Store and it went very quickly. So perhaps it's a regional thing? I'm in the North-Eastern United States.

I have not had any issues with the store. I wonder if it is a configuration issue related to the event tomorrow. Maybe they are going to release something updated.

It's working fine for me, which would matter if I actually used it more than once or twice a year.

I remember the first version of Win10 I installed would allow me to press the 'Shift' key on the 'Lock' screen, which would show the Login field and I could then enter my password. Ever since the first upgrade after that the 'Shift' key would not open the Login field. It still works with the three Linux OS's I'm using but with Win10 I need to press a letter key or 'Space' bar to show the login field = one more button to press. Anyway to change that?

I guess it has been annoying me since around 2015/16 or so.

Anyone having issues with the Photos app? As soon as I open a photo with it, the colors turn more orange as if it activates night light only for the photo itself. Whether or Night Light is actually active or not does not matter. I don't know when it started so I don't know if it is related to a recent update or my manual upgrade to 21H1.

Not yet running Windows 10 21H1? It’s time
If you are still running Windows 10 2004 or 20H2, it’s time to move to 21H1. Here's how to do that and what to keep in mind as we roll toward the release of Windows 11.

Might be the going trend and i'm new to 10 so it'll likely be upgraded to Eleven.
However my Windows 8.1 is a POWERHOUSE and remains so.
Eleven I shall consider Experimental Model and treat is as such.
