Process Explorer v16.40 : The new version contains an additional file (procexp64a.exe).
I wonder what it is for.

Thanks for the update version suite of those. Mine had been just a bit dated. All current now. :)

Anyone else seeing this with the latest version of Process Explorer (16.40)?
I had to roll back to the previous version for one that doesn't crash.

Does it happen straight away on opening or does something you do trigger it?

Just tried it and it's ok (so far) for me.

New version did not help, same 64-bit crash, 32-bit works fine.

16.41 fixed it. I have to wonder at the competence of anyone that releases this kind of quality.

Both TCPView versions(4.10/4.11 32/64) ran okay on Win10 LTSB. The same goes for Win7_x64 and Win8.1_x64

Thanks for letting me know. I still use Nirsoft's Current Ports and LiveTCPUDPWatch, so it's not a total loss.

Does anyone else notice their desktop stuff (ie. Recycle Bin icon) blink/flash every time they start Process Explorer? Is this new behavior?

Could you all open something like "Date and Time" ( https://i.imgur.com/1Op4om8.png ) then start PE and see if "Date and Time" Blinks/flashes, I've tested on two different computers and I get the same result.

Icons like Recycle Bin don't actually seem to flash like I first thought...

Thanks for confirming. I have multi-monitors so I have many things opens usually, and it was pretty jarring when I noticed.
