Bug detected! Does not work "Always on top" mode. It happens sometimes, reboot helps. With v3.5.0.0 this was definitely not the case., After v3.5.0.0 other software has not changed.
Always on top works as expected here. Please pay attention to the default global hotkey which toggles on/off this always on top setting. If you use Ctrl+2 in any other software, you will change this check box value too. One more thing to add here. If you activate a window from another software that also uses Always on top, then that one will be displayed on top of Brun. If you activate Brun, it will be displayed always on top of other similar windows. For example, Task Manager, when it is set to be displayed on top of other windows, it will cover any other window. What do you mean by "reboot helps" ? Reboot of the machine or restart of brun.exe application ?
Reboot = reboot of the machine. I didn't have time to think about restarting the application. It seems to have started from the very beginning of using v3.6.0.0, but I'm not sure. Thanks but ... at this point I get greedy ... 1) it would not be bad in the configuration to foresee the choice to show the program icon in: - Desktop only - taskbar only - Desktop + taskbar 2) Clearly the icon in the taskbar cannot be resized / internal color / transparency, but at least its color that can be like the one selected for the desktop icon . 1. I did not add this until now because the desktop icon was the main interaction point with the application. But now, since I added the notification tray icon, I will add an option to hide/show the desktop icon too. The desktop icon can be easily make completely transparent by settings the alpha to 0 for the inner and outer color. But, yes, a checkbox will be easier. However, drag and drop support works only on that desktop icon and in the Configuration window. System tray area, nor the taskbar allow drag and drop. 2. Not possible. I tried to add the accent color for the notification tray icon and also for the taskbar icon, but the operating system takes the icons defined as resources inside the executable file. These can't be dynamic.
After spending some time, I am able to change dynamically the notification icon color, but not for the current rounded icon. It does not look very fine because of the ellipse used to make the "b". But, with a different icon (with only vertical and horizontal lines), it looks fine. For now I replaced it with a laptop representation. I am open to suggestions for a new representation that uses only vertical and horizontal lines that can be inside of a 16 x 16 pixels icon. I want to use the same representation for the desktop floating icon and also for the notification tray icon. Here are some variants which I tried: Thank you for your feedback.
I like the notebook, however, it looks very similar to the Windows 11 Ethernet Network icon. Since Biniware Run opens a MENU of shortcuts, perhaps the simple hamburger menu (3 horizontal lines) with the current red default color. Just a thought.
Not sure this is possible, but perhaps multiple icons (the notebook, hamburger menu, or any other suggestions that you like) from which the user could choose. The icon could be selected in the configuration menu.
Or if the current one looks just fine, then I will leave like it is. The red notification icon is an icon of 16x16 px which is in the current version. The white notification icon is drawn dynamically in code in the upcoming version. Unfortunately, I can't make it look better than this.
The current icon is not bad but it's a bit like the Opera Browser symbol ... of course with the ability to change the color it's better already. I would not like multiple icons because for the identity of the program it's better to have one only. Unfortunately I am not so good to create such graphical things ...

I was able to change the color of the existing icon, therefore, for now, the existing icon will remain unchanged. Having multiple icons is not that easy because they are not static ico/png files, but drawn dynamically in code to be able to change their color.

I just updated to 4.0 to see if it fix the program crash i encounter once or twice a day since i updated from an older version to 3.9 i did not had the time to check if it's fixed but now it also crash when editing the desktop appearance color. And the brun.log file is always empty when it crash, no matter the logging level.
