Must be, otherwise there is no way to enable it.

He said stable, I can't verify. I'm on beta 14 of version 89 and the setting is there.

yep, that's why i asked. i'm on stable 88.0.1 and "fission.autostart.session" is grayed out so you can't enable fission on stable. i wonder how he managed to enable it. :doubt:

as @xxJackxx noted, bmw said he's on stable. but you can't enable it on stable. that's why i thought maybe he's on beta or nightly.

I enabled it as well. No difference in usage that I can perceive.

Enabled "fission.autostart" this morning. Still running Firefox in Sandboxie and as xxJackxx noted: no issues w/usage. "fission.autostart.session" has a padlock next to it and is greyed out. It has a value of "true." So glad this got implemented, I wish Edge would return to app-containers in its experimental flags.

I enabled "fission.autostart" and disabled the Temporary Containers extension. Hard to say but FF may be a little faster.

I haven't yet enabled Firefox Site Isolation because of the Known Issues.
Has no one of you experienced any of the issues mentioned in the Known Issues overview?

So far no issues but haven't used it a lot yet. All my extensions seem to be working, but I haven't verified if they all do what they're supposed to do. Haven't printed or made screenshots yet. I do use session restore, it loads the appropriate sites correctly, but I haven't checked if the exact state loads correctly, I didn't even know it was supposed to do that :argh:

Um, Firefox Release + fission.autostart true. Should I see [F] with Firefox 88.0.1?

Maybe that article is not updated and they've used that indicator for testing purposes only?

At least some information in that article is not updated, as it only mentions enabling Fission/ Site Isolation in Firefox Nightly, not Beta, nor Release.

No [F] here either. Check about:support. Mine shows Fission Windows: 1/1 Enabled by user.
