Thanks but like I said, I'm too lazy to even watch it. :p

This isn't the same as a full PC reset right? So I guess this is also quicker? But I think I have no choice but to either upgrade or to reset to factory settings, because I just discovered that the "run as admin" option also doesn't work anymore. I tried to run notepad.exe as admin because I couldn't edit my hosts-file, but nothing happens, so annoying.

No, it just restores your PC to the state it was in before upgrading. It's usually pretty quick.

Tried to install 21H1 via win updates but it hosed my machine.. it went thru the install in less than a minute and after a reboot it hung on checking for updates... also tried to install and shut down via the start menu and also install and reboot but it just hung. Restored a macrium image from a few days ago and tried again.. same result. Something is wrong..

So for now I restored an image again and paused updates for a few weeks. Maybe they'll fix it. Otherwise I'm screwed...

PS - also tried to defer upgrades with O&O Shutup10 but it didn't work either.... :)

Yes, very nice. Event Viewer is nice and clean here with this build. Thankfully, none of the issues some have been experiencing to date. Hope it lasts.

The only interesting thing that I read about 21H2 is the new Windows Store. I rather see them redesigning Win Defender's GUI, it's not that handy.

As I understand with this update they only enable some system changes that were already downloaded and installed in past.

I'm gonna wait a few weeks. Don't wanna be one of the first installing and then randomly getting issues. Rather let you, the lab rats, do that, so then MS can bugfix whatever pops up :d

Windows Update is not offering it on my PC.

Is there a (stand-alone) enabler package?

(as there was for previous versions)
